View Full Version : TRIPLE CROWN AT MURDOCH UNI - 8th November - BE THERE!
Hey hey!
Seeing as we have a large portion of the Murdoch fraternity this should be a good chance to have a good ole ***** up with all the Eagles boys & girls.
Tickets will be about $10 I think, although this time, YOU DON"T HAVE TO BE A MURDOCH STUDENT TO ATTEND!
Last semester the liquor board screwed them over and revoked their license to sell to the public, and made it so only Murdoch students/staff could attend... even though for the last who knows how many years it has been open to the public.
But this semester it is definitely open to the public, according to the guild anyway.
BUT ANYWAY -- BE THERE ... if you're not from Murdoch and you want tickets, get in contact with me and I can get them for you.
If anyone doesn't know what the triple crown is like ... it's basically just a massive party, I think something around like 500 tickets get sold... and they always sell out.
So... if you want tickets, get in contact with me, and we'll organise something.
I also expect to see Kenny and Sabre there, seeing as Kenny is an old chum of mine, and Sabre is a Murdoch student himself.
Ummm i am afraid to ask, but can a North member meekly tag along??

When do Murdoch start their exams? I've got two exams on that Monday.

Well I might have to make an apperance after all..
The Triple Crown is on the night of Friday the 8th, which for Murdoch students is the last day of week 13, the last official week of lectures and tutorials before examination week starts. Even if some of you cannot make it, especially high schoolers, i am still keen for that WA bigfooty people meetup i mentioned in the thread of a similar name. I have bookmarked it and shall revive it when my last exam finishes and see how we shall organise that.

So the 8th is the last day of classes at Murdoch? They should have held the event yesterday (1st) because next week would probably count out a lot of students from other Unis who are ending their study leave and starting exams. I know UWA & Curtin start exams on the Saturday (9th).
I like myee8's idea when most of us have finished the year and have more time free!
I got my tiket yesterday. Now can i have a show of hands to see who is going?
Won't be coming.
I got an exam on Sat morning at 9.
Not particularly worried about it though, open book and its only essays.
These backward uni's starting exams later...sheesh I tell ya, its pretty dodgy, less holidays...
Just not good enough!

The actual reason why we're one week later is because for some reason we had a two week non teaching week during s2, rather than a one week.
I think the vice chancellor wanted to go on a 2 week holiday with his kids, so he some how wired this up, and now we are stuck one week behind everyone.
That's my theory anyway.
But anyway, I am going to the Crown.

I would have gone but met a girl and am going out with her on Friday. A first date at the triple crown would have been an experience for her though :D

We had a 2 week break too you know...

I think we must have had another week break in between, because I'm certain we started the same week as Curtin.

Yep Curtin and Murdoch started on the same week, but you guys had an extra week after the Royal Show.

Twas great! I managed to meet up with ozzult and his group. It was more or less like a usual party really, with an unfortunate fight of some sorts near the end. Heaps of people were there, half of whom did not go to Murdoch! No matter, coz it was the few times where the best of Murdoch was there... ;) I also managed to get home safely!
