All Queensland Team of the Year

An All Queensland Team of the Year was announced at the J.A. Grogan Medal Awards night on Monday 16th September at the Hilton and is listed below. Queensland has many home grown players playing in various state league competitions around Australia and, of course, at various AFL clubs in the AFL competition.

To acknowledge the performance of these players, AFL Queensland has formed a selection panel to choose a Queensland Team of the Year to recognise their efforts and highlight the strength of our very own Queensland nursery. Players named have played at Queensland State League and/or affiliated open age level or junior club level and have resided in Queensland during their formative years from age 12. As is always the case with such selections, much discussion and debate will be generated and we make no apologies for that.

I'm impressed. An Allies team like in the old "State of Origin" would make good reading as well.

yeah would be good to try it out i reckon...
i like what they used to do better....
they wouold just do like an All Australian team...but for AFLQ... morro was full back in 2001! champ!..heheh he is still on the list.. hehehehe

i think that the old way was more important u know.. same as A-A but ppl actually wanted to be named.. they really didnt get to play.. but it was just the honour they announced thatafter the grogan the yar before but they said they would announce it @ the grogan this year.... but obviously they changed plans..... that's like when QLd played Wa... that was a scary game,..... we lost be alot... but morro & the likes fromthe team picked werent playing.. the lions rookie listers all went but the WAFL was too strong......
