I just watched a Behind the Music special on Run DMC not too long ago on Foxtel. A real pity as those 3 guys really did pioneer a lot of rap music.

The sooner rap "music" is killed off, by whatever means, the better.

you di(khead. how can you say its for the best that a person who is causing no harm to society is dead.

I'm not a big fan of rap although i dont mind it occasionally (mainly when i'm absolutely blind tho :p). But the thing is that many people enjoy it, and looked up to run dmc because they were one of the pioneering rap bands and this guy was one of the fathers of rap. Being a rap musician is a dangerous game - look at all the rappers that have been killed over the years. Tupac, Eazy E, Notorious B.I.G., Biggy Bone and thats just the bigger names. Jam Master Jay is another one to the list and it is pretty sad.

These guys are just musicians and they dont deserve to be killed for what they do/say in the same way that John Lennon didn't desreve to be.

Alot of the time, you'll find the lyrics in rap music are very insightful and really have some meaning behind them. Bone-Thugs n Harmony and Tupac have great lyrics. I dont always like the beats to them but i like just sitting down and reading the lyrics when i'm depressed or whatever because it makes you realise how oppressed life is for a black man. These guys are being killed for speaking out about what it's like to black and it just isn't right.

Rap gets a bad name because you get rappers who come out and say "*****ed her bitch-ass pu5sy" etc,. etc,. but most rap music isn't actually like that.

That isnt true b/c black people are killing them.

They are scum who have lucked out but at the end of the day they are still scum and mix with scum and get killed by scum.

Notorious and Tupac are two examples.

Puff Daddy aint far away.

Good riddance.

and a white person killed JFK and John Lennon. it doesn't matter who killed them.

The point is they shouldn't be getting killed.

And if you think they should be then your a complete ****3r.

You are the one who said they were getting killed for the black politics, so your reference to JFK etc is misguided and irrelevant.

use your brain, it might help

Theres no point in arguing this because there is no possible acceptable reason that people should be killed for being musicians.

No one can justify it.

Oh yeah? WHat instrument do they play?

Even if you were right, only one of them could possibly be, the other two are now bad fertiliser.

They have no MUSICAL ability.

But they could replace Dr. Seuss with their Year 7 rhyming.

and if thats your opinion, well be it, but is ISN'T shared by most people.

But if it we're correct, is it right that they are dead??

So you accept whatever they are (which we disagree on) they are not "musicians"?

no i still think they're musicians. Just because i dont like them (most of the time) doesn't mean i dont think they're musicians.

They dont play instruments but they are singers. Do you not call a singer a musician??

No they are not musicians. The dont play instruments.

I dont think they are performers either but from your side of the argument I think that is what you should call them.

it is like these boy groups who only sing and are called bands.

Bands play instruments. they may be a singing group but they are certainly not a band.
