There is a new AFL Store in Rundle Mall - its located between Haighs Chocolate store and the Myer Centre.

I had a quick look in there as it was closing tonight and they have all the new Russel Athletic Crows gear. Could be a handy place to do some Christmas shopping for those of us who cant get to West Lakes.

I'll have a good look in there tomorrow. I really need a Crows jumper...but the finances...I'm going to Brisbane in December so I'll need money to spend, Christmas shopping (well only 3 more pressies to get) and bills and other stuff.

A few Bands in town the next few months I wanna see (Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Cruel Sea and will miss out on Kim Salmon) and I could head over to the Queenscliff Music Festival next month to see Don Walker.. Might hold off on buying new gear until 2003.

Excellent, I hadn't heard of a new AFL store.

Will have to have a look next time I'm in the city.

I need a new guernsey... mine has been unpicked and resewn enough. I think Fitzy's delisting signalled the death knell for my current one.

Does anyone know if there are any FILA ones left? I heard they were going for cheap (the remainder of stock) due to them not being our sponsor anymore and if so where can I find them?

I saw the big full-page ad in the 'Tiser this morning for the new store. Wonder if Bicks is managing it? Will he close down either one of his other stores?

There's quite a bit of Fila stuff going out cheap in his Tea Tree Plaza AFL store - knitted caps going out for $5, kid's guernseys, etc.

Haven't noticed any Russell gear yet, must have a look sometime soon.

The AFL store in Rundle Mall has plenty of FILA Crows gear on discount. The new RA jumpers are around the $100 mark...If I get some money for my birthday I know what I'm getting.

Yep I need a new jumper. I have an Addidas one but I want a Russell Athletic one. I will put the number 19 on it! I have sexy Mark Stevens 1998 premiership jumper signed and tucked away. I don't wear that one, it is miles to big but also it's his and very special to me and due to it being his premiership jumper it cost a bloody mint!

Not sure if Bicks is running the Rundle Mall store, I will have to go down on Monday lunch and have a look!

Yes, they are. Also the Brisvegas Lions (I think) and maybe some others as well.

i dont know if the prices in all the stores are the same but i popped into the tea tree plaza AFL store on saturday and the new russel athletic guernsey was 90 bucks. The "old" fila one was also 90 bucks.

Firstly, I have nothing against Russell Athletic.

However, I think that the Crows are changing suppliers too often (third change in four seasons), and it appears that all they want from us supporters is our money. Eventually, no one will want to supply the Crows with on-field gear becuase of their revolving-door supplier policy, and then where will the Crows go. I have a few suggestions, but don't want to offend anyone of any group.

I was a little surprised too that the Crows switched apparel companies too. I thought most sponsorship contracts usually lasted at least 2 years, so I guess that's why I found it a bit odd.

Was there even an official announcement that RA is the new sponsor?? -- I'm pretty sure that it wasn't announed on the AFC's website.

In fairness to the AFC - Adidas pulled out of providing supplies to AFL clubs, rather than the Crows doing so - and I have a feeling Fila have also pulled the plug on the league. Could be wrong on Fila though.
