View Full Version : has to be the WORST thing I've ever heard!

I thought I'd heard just about the very worst music had to offer in recent years .... until I stumbled unwittingly into an "aural nightmare" that I am still re-living in a lather of sweat days later...

Let's state for the record I absolutely loathe:
(1) techno
(2) soft-**** 1980s "rock"
(3) falsetto voices

So you'll understand how thrilled I was when, trapped in a suburban K-Mart, I was subjected to ... wait for it... a techno re-mix of Supertramp's "Logical Song", sung, if that's what you call it ... by Alvin and the Chipmunks ... and no, I know what you're thinking, the drugs had worn off by that stage.

Can anyone enlighten me as to who I should send my congratulations for producing undoubtedly THE worst bit of "music" I have ever heard in my life?

Cheers
Rupert

Its by 'Scooter'

It/he is absolute trash. And please don't put this in the same bag as 'techno' techno is a totally different type of music altogether.

This track would be more suited to the 'Hard Trance/NRG/Commercial Dance' basket.

Only those with extreme underdeveloped tastes in dance music or souped up on some hardcore drugs find this kinda stuff enjoyable.

Worst thing i've ever heard?

Hmmmm........Rupert have a look in the mirror son, your 15 minutes with 'Escape (Pina Colada Song)' is a definite 'highlight'.

Sugary, over dramatic vocal gymnasts such as Mariah Carey and Celine Dion who whine out endless phony love songs infuriate me.
Soapie stars and their 'production line' pop, gimme the sh*ts as well, it all sounds like one song.

I could go on.................

I had a similar experience with that song the other day. At first I thought the DJ must have been playing a vinyl copy of Supertramp at the wrong speed and I was waiting for the embarassed apology ... but no such luck. It just chipmunked on to the bitter end.

Yeah, it's a shocker ... but I've heard worse.

I was tripping off my face on mushrooms one night and one of the people I was living with at the time had the radio on. A song came on called the "Tennesee Birdwalk" and I vowed and declared that if I ever got my hands on the bastard who wrote that song I would hack them to death with a meat cleaver. I figured that it was probably someone from Tennesee who wrote it, so I decided that in future, whenever I met ANYONE from Tennesee, I would hack them to death with a meat cleaver so that EVENTUALLY I'd get the low-life piece of trash that actually wrote that song.

So far, I haven't met anyone from Tennesee ... but the offer still holds.

Oh, yeah ... and I agree with whoever mentioned the "Pina Colada Song". The person who wrote that deserves a painful death too.

And a dishonourable mention to "My Baby Takes The Morning Train".

Hey man! That's my bread and butter you're talking about there .... not to mention this week's stash of the white powdery stuff! I am the Mike Brady of the US west coast theatre restaurant circuit, I'll have you know, and "Escape" (it's pet name( is a much under-appreciated musical essay of how true love ... and a failed attempt at a sly root via the personals ... can overcome all odds.

Come on Alf, me, Leif Garrett, Huey Lewis and the guys from Toto worked really hard on that son, you know.

Cheers
