Quiet time till draft time, tis the season to prognosticate

predicted ladder at end of home and away


1. Port Adelaide - added to there strength in offseason, but will still fall down in playoffs. Coach denies they are jinxed in the playoffs.

2. Adelaide - football fever hits town, regretfully they get shafted by the afl and have to play prelim final in melbourne AGAIN

3. Brisbane - veteran team coasts thru season realising that just need to get there, wins it all. Lappin wins brownlow and the melbourne mafia up in arms about how they fit 4 brownlows into the salary cap. They also insist that Brisbane have to train in melbourne as the good weather in Brisvegas doesnt mean a level playing field.

4. Fremantle - every year there's one surprise team, surely with the talent freo is developing it must be them sometime soon. Lack of experience in finals is exposed as they go two and out.

5. Collingwood - Eddie's head explodes during a rant over the unfair advantage that interstate teams get to travel so often makes them better at it. Malthouse seen crying over loss of his 'buddy'

6. West Coast - Youngsters develop but cant crack top four after fading in second half of season.

7. Essendon - experience just keeps them in the 8. Sheedy blames injuries on the performance of his team despite having only one all year - Hird hurts his back picking up his wallet.

8. Melbourne - Just scrape in after impassioned speech by Daniher results in 1pt win over bottom club StKilda. Daniher declares they are the danger team and anything can happen, they lose by 123pts to Collingwood.

9. Sydney - as always flatter to deceive , apart from when they forget to flatter (2002)

10. Hawthorn - Schwab goes, everyone agrees he's a nice guy though - this years wayne brittain

11. Geelong - Youngsters hit the wall, ben graham promises that next year they will be really dangerous

12. Richmond - Frawley goes early as players revolt after losing first 7 straight. There is a questionmark over the attitude of Matthew Richardson.

13. Bulldogs - words valiant and fighting cant make up for talent

14. Kangaroos - see bulldogs

15. Carlton - somehow john elliot clings to power

16. St Kilda - Grant Thomas is rewarded for promising year with a contract extension. They trade back for Everitt all there draft picks next year.
