I absolutely loved The Shield, and have just recently finished watching Deadwood, have seen most of Oz and The Wire and am now in the market for a new show. Preferably Drama with a similar style to those others I mentioned. Can anyone help me?

Hmmm the Shield & the Wire are two shows i must catch up on
U could try "Rome", "Carnivale" or "Six Feet Under" they might take your fancy if u haven't already seen them.

Not in the same style at all (more comedy than drama and much less gritty) but since I enjoyed all those shows you mentioned I'd suggest Weeds, especially seasons 1 and 4.
But it's not gritty down and dirty cop drama, that's proven to be a really disappointing genre of late. Many of the those that have potential are often too polished and have more predictable plotlines with less clever scripts IMO.
Completed shows on DVD:
The West Wing is probably my favourite drama of all time, strongly suggest you hire the first season from the video store and continue with the rest if you like it.
Have you seen The Sopranos? If not that would be a logical choice. Rated by many as the best TV show ever. Certainly one of my absolute favorites.
Six Feet Under, made by the same bloke who created American Beauty. Typical quality HBO drama, also best ending to any TV show. Very intense show with amazing characters.
Rome is brilliant, although the second season was very rushed due to the program being canned for excessive cost. Best described as a more sophisticated version of Deadwood, based in Roman Empire around the time of Caesar, Octavian, Marc Antony and Cleopatra.
Currently running shows:
Dexter is brilliant. First two season on DVD, third has just completed airing the states and can be acquired by other means.
If you are into Sci-Fi then maybe Battlestar Galactica would be up your alley. Most people on BF that like The Shield also like BG.
Breaking Bad is definitely worth watching, only 7 episodes have been made due to the writer's strike... but it will air again in March in the US.

The obvious choice would have to be The Sopranos, if you liked all of them you will love The Sopranos
Sons of Anarchy.
The creator was a writer/producer on The Shield.

Another Vote for the Sopranos. But be warned if you start watching one of the series on DVD you wont be able turn it off and it will keep you putting in that next disc for the next episode and then you will be off to get the next season on DVD so you can see what happens!!
Highly addictive series and in my opinion the best ever. :thumbsu::thumbsu:
Arrested Development. While not a drama it's a good show.

I've seen most of Dexter (half of season 3), some of the Sopranos and West Wing but for some reason neither really interested me, might give the Sopranos another look though.
Rome might be the go, Sons of Anarchy looks decent, might research a bit more about Carnivale, and Breaking Bad is a quality show (seen 5 episodes).
Thanks for the help guys:thumbsu:

Yep :thumbsu: Watch it from Season 1 in order and go from there. If you had only seen a couple of random episodes it is hard to get into it as you dont know whats going on as so many actors come and go throughout the series. :)

Friday Night Lights! Like the movie but set in 2007. It is awesome. Season 1 is over half way on Fox 8 though. You can buy the season 1 and 2 on Amazon for cheap. Season 1 is mind blowing, Season 2 is very good got cut short because of the writers strike and season is just finishing up on Direct TV in the states and that is on a par with S1.
It is set in a town called Dillon, Texas. The whole town lives and breathes high school football. The acting is brilliant. Football shown nearly episode. I have recommended it to about 10 people so far and they all love it!
The pilot is one of the best epiodes I have seen on any tv show.
