The season has started - how is everyone going from a personal & team perspective???
In Rd 1, we rolled the opposition for 123, but choked to be all out for 86. In Rd 2 we made 9/254, but then couldn't buy a wicket and they passed us 1 down. This week we made 5/286 and they are 4/92. Hopefully we might finally see a win...
After struggling in the first 2, I was lucky on Saturday and was unbeaten on 141* when the captain declared on me...
team perspective - better than last season.
club perspective - improving but not where we want to be.
personal perspective - started slowly despite being moved up a grade. Last year starting slowly but the season got better as it went on last, so hopefull the same will happen this year.
Overall, we're probably around 12th-14th on the club championships out of 20 teams which is better than 18th out of 19 last year.
In 4th Grade (where i played last game) we've won 1 from 4 but shoulda won on the weekend. drew needing one more wicket.
In 5th Grade (where i played rounds 2 and 3 after missing round 1 through injury) we've won 1 from 4 as well. Lost the last two games by less than 15 runs which was pretty heartbreaking.

nup 2 day competition.
first round were one day games, followed by 3 two day rounds. started on September 28.
First Grade have now played five games as they played another one day game yesterday which wasn't played by any of the lower grades.
Surely you could have waited til you got the 150 before you declared????
On a team's note yeah have been going well. 1st game (1 dayer) we won in the last over of the day. 2nd game we made 158 and were bowled out in the 65th over, other mob came out and smacked us and were 3/145 at the end of day 1. We took 7/12 and won the game by 1 run the next week.
Saturday just gone (first day of the game) We bowled the team out for 116 and we are 0/140.
Personal, started out in the 1's got dropped for the paid player, made very little in the 2nd game and am now 60* hopefully on the way to my 2nd ton and back into the 1's.

At the time I was more worried about the job at hand. In retrospect I should have kept going all day

Ta mate, finally found some form so I'm hoping I join you in the century club this weekend.
Retrospect is a great thing, tippin it wouldn't have stopped you celebrating with the odd bourbon though.
