The Banglas seem to me the next up and coming team. They have a lot of young talent in there.

Yeah true, I love to see the lower team win.
The other batsman seems to be batting better. The problem with the bangars is they're defending a small total. But the req. eco. rate is almost 4 an over.

i want to know why sri lanka keep trying hacks on their team like farveez maharoof?

not having any other options other than dilhara fernando and thushara is another issue as well

Maharoof is a handy player.
I don't rate Fernando one bit.
I've never heard of Thushara.

8/138

15 needed from 24 balls.

Murali the hero lawl.

YOTC
16 Jan 2009, 19:24
Why did they take off Shakab?

Terrible decision as Murali hits 20 runs off an over. Sri Lanka now with plenty of balls in hand and only need 15 to win.

Dez!
16 Jan 2009, 19:24
Murali going insane.

4 4 2 . 4 6

Only 15 required for Sri Lanka to win.

Murali spanks him for 6, then 4 and all the sudden they need 1 to win off 2 overs.

Aritro
16 Jan 2009, 19:35
Rubel Hossain is the most promising bowling prospect we've ever produced and I hope this shambles hasn't damaged his confidence too much.

He was kept on because he's capable of taking wickets, as he showed by taking 4 on debut last time. Ashraful took the attacking option instead of throwing on Mahmudullah to bowl his tight offies and forcing mistakes by keeping the runs down, which would have been a more defensive ploy. It wasn't that bad a decision. Murali batted ridiculously well during those overs and credit should go to him. Rubel, for his part, should have thrown in some slower ones and some yorkers but at 19, he probably hasn't got them in his armory yet.

Kumar Sangakarra played superbly and had some able support.

We bowled well throughout the innings, bar the last couple of Rubel overs.

if you think about it on a certain perspective, you should never have ever been in a position to win when you score 152 to defend

i swear i was watching this very same game right then on free to air tv. both games played are replicas of each other

the story is similar with both home teams getting the away team which is chasing a moderate target down 7 wickets

and the two tailenders pull off the win
