Anyone seen this German movie from 2006? It's one I've had in the library to watch for a while, finally got around to seeing it tonight.
Good story, great acting, liked the ending. Only gripe is that at 2:15 hours it was a bit slow and drawn out. 7.5/10 for me.
Edit: just found out that the main actor who played the Stasi agent in the film died in 2007 :(

It's superb.:thumbsu:
It would probably be in my top ten movies of the decade.
8.5/10

I had it in my top 5 movies of the decade on another thread. 3 of my top 5 were foreign language films, Vozrasheniye and Pan's Labyrinth the other two. Truly amazing films.:thumbsu:

up there with amelie and city of god as one of my favourite foreign films. absolutely brilliant.
Had to watch it for a Uni unit last year and loved it. I don't watch a huge amount of foreign movies, but that and Goodbye, Lenin! are two of my favourites.
A huge shame that Ulrich M*he died following this film, because he was absolutely superb in it.

I'm yet to hear anyone that didn't like it. Probably the best movie I've seen this year, even though it's 3 years old.
I have it but haven't got around to watching it yet. I guess I will have to see it now.
