The opening sequenence of Sports Tonight last night said Browny has signed a new contract. Unfortunately, I had to finish a nasty level of Timesplitters 2 and it was over before I turned back.
Nothing on the AFL or Lions website, so I'm hoping someone here has the details. How many years? How big is his pay packet? Does he get a bonus everytime he takes a mark running with the flight of the ball?

Heard on the 4KQ (what a great tranny station that is; where has it been all my life?) news last night that he was in the final stages of negotiations and is a lay down misere to sign 'til the end of 2006.
Of course, he'll be captain of the club by then.
Yes, story in the Herald Sun today confirms that Browny will sign on until at least 2006 - great news!!

Gee, 20 years ago no one would have batted an eyelid at that. Transistors, my friend, that's what they were called before Mr Walkman and Mr iPod came along. You'd be hard pressed to make an AM/FM radio out of transvestites. Although if the Sydney Mardi Gras ever comes back, that'd be a good idea for a float.

as browny would say..........ahhhhhhrg..... good onya buddy!! hehehhehehe
good luck for the future... & i agree with ripper about the captain thing........
Sensational news. When you look at the Hawks' 80's success, it was based in many ways on consistant personnel in the key positions - Langford, Mew, Dermie, Dunstall. The Lions have a similar opportunity with Mal, Leppa and JB. We have many great players all worthy of decent renumeration .. but keep these key guys in place.
It is great to keep young talent but essential with JB as Lynchy is entering his last season. Good news to have him for another 4 years.
