Hi All,
I believe the Adelaide Football Club is out of touch with its fans. I think that the third change in clothing supplier is 4 years was done so that the club could extract more money from its fans.
Isn't the increased membership fees next year enough for the club. I am a silver member, and will always remain a beloved member of the Adelaide Football Club. However, I am getting a bit tired of the club wanting money from us members all the time.
As an Adelaide supporter living interstate I'm gonna need a bit more convincing other than just the fact that they're changing their clothing label. :)

Yeah, a little bit.
I think they could do so much more with the website. Its mainly run by the AFL and Telstra and all isn't it? Even if it is the off season, I think they might be able to update it a little more, and put more stuff on the players stuff.
I disagree completely
I think the Club do all they can to stay in touch with the fans
Who cares about the clothing labels? You don't have to buy new stuff and its not as if you throw out your old stuff.
I still wore my Addidas stuff last year for instance.
If you have any problem you can e-mail Phil Harper, Matty Robran or even Steven Trigg and they will get back to you.
Not many clubs have a venue as big as teh shed to allow as many supporters who want to , to mix with the players and have a drink after the game.
It was interesting though to see family tickets go down but normal tickets go up slightly. Seems a bit discriminatory to me.
The people who are out of touch are teh SA Football Commission who couldn't give a fat rats clacker about AFC fans as long as week keep pouring money into their coffers.

I don't have any issues with the AFC. We are a very professionally run club and I have had no problems with anyone. I email Matty Robran & Phil Harper if I have an issue and they always reply. As for the price increase, I think it was $4 per ticket which is .36 cents per game. Not much when you look at it like that!
go you mighty Crows!!

Considering Adidas was with us for a decade and the fact that they bring out new gear every year anyway, the gear supplier isnt much of an issue. RA were announced as a new supplier several months ago.
I cant remember why FILA dropped out but I do know that AFC were not impressed. What were they to do?
As for the website, the layout isnt too good. However if you're on the email list and know where to look you can find good stuff. For example, the SANFL players report is mentioned on the main page every week during the season. The info is there, the site layout is the problem. However I really do miss the forum!

AFC tries reasonably hard but that new site is woeful and I miss the forum too. The prices keep going up and the clothing just goes on and on. Football per se is pricing itself out of the reach of the ordinary people.
I think the AFL as a whole really needs to start to think of the fans a whole lot more instead of worrying about salary cap reductions etc.
Anyway I think the club can do more.

Who cares if they change the Sponsor!!
Next Year Royal Doulton will want to sponsor the new trackies coz we'll have two more cups.
The website is 5 out of 10

The website is 5 out of 10 Exactly TJ. AFC's (& the AFL's) website is their main disappointment. Who really cares if the sponsor has changed, as the jumper has remained similar ... also, don't think the club had much choice last time around.

Heck - I wore my Sekem guernsey (original 1991 version)!
