Love and Clarke are batting a treat. I never rated Clarke, but damn, he's impressive today!
He's on 50 off 81 balls while Love is 159.
2/276
Shame about Blewett and Maher failing.
...and as I post this, Clarke get's caught, but I do see a future in him.
England are a rabble.
Good to see depth on show today.

Yep, their bowling was pitiful today, arguably of even a worse standard then in the 1st Test when you consider that this pitch had a lot more life in it for the bowlers.
No English bowler impressed at all today, although I think it would be worth it if Tudor was picked for the next Test; he's got what it takes at the highest level.
I've never seen Flintoff bowl before; for his sake I hope he's severely underdone because he looked as threatening and as pacy as Steve Waugh's bowling at the moment.

Agreed. This is the worst English touring side ever. Their attack is as deadly as the local over 35's charity side and their fielding is pathetic. They have taken the game 30 years back as in technique.
Also how good is love to watch. If i had a son who loved cricket I would make him sit down and study his batting today. He should replace Steve Waugh fairly soon.
Alex tudor seems to have slowed down in pace.

Nice touch by Marcus North too - 33*
Clarke looked very good today - will be a star in the future!
Fantastic knock by Love, doesn't get a big mention here in WA, but he's had a steller start to the season!

I watched the whole day and feel compelled to say that if those are England's best bowlers available then expect the Aussie batting averages to go up this season. I don't think that Waugh or Gilly will have too many chances to bat (big call I know) because I think we will be declaring on the second day around tea time, or a bit later.
I'm not trying to be glib, I just think they looked pretty ordinary, most of our State sides have way better attacks. Admittably that isn't their number one attack..but geez..it was pretty woeful.

England's batting was pretty ordinary today, but in their defence they were facing an Austarlian A bowling attack that, unlike England's, knew how to bowl in the conditions.
All the pace bowlers were impressive, with Noffke being the standout for me - able to get swing and movement and was unlucky not to get more wickets then he did (it would help if Elliott didn't have his back turned when a catch was coming his way).
The only downside for Australia A was off-spinner Nathan Hauritz. He bowled tightly and intelligently today, but I'm not sure whether he has what it takes at Test level currently. He doesn't spin it a lot and if a good batsman wants to defend him, then they should be able to comfortably.
Would be a good option at one-day level though.

Maybe he should start bowling with a bent arm, it seems to work on the sub-continent...:p :D

No reason why he shouldn't as bowling with a bent arm is perfectly legal.
It becomes illegal only if you straighten the arm in the process of bowling a delivery.

Thanks mate, you just described Muralitharin's action to a T. He may not be able to straighten it to it's full extent but it doesn't have to, it only needs to straighten fractionally, which it does, and that makes it an illegal action.
