Ok, this is not a thread saying put him back in the team BUT...when does he deserve to go back? 10 wickets one match, 7 in the first innings of the next, is it perhaps worth it or do we keep bichel in? I really don't know, while Lee is bowling well at State level will he take the next step if given the chance? or will he throw it back in their faces. I don't really know what should be done, however i do think he can bowl and will again play for Aus and should...i'm just unsure as to whether thye should keep him out for a while or put him back in now as he APPEARS to have got a kick in the backside he so badly needed
Comments?
(i reserve the right to change my mind;) )
Personally, I wouldn't have dropped him, so I'm all in favour of him getting back as soon as possible.

Yeah, he's state figures have been impressive, but who does he replace? Bichel? I don't think that would send the greatest of signals out. Bichel may have only got two wickets, but then he only got to bowl in one innings. So to be foir on him, you can only compare his figures with other first innings figures, such as Warne's 1/87.

I agree with Jim - it's fine that he's back in form, but he cant come back in the test team until there is someone he can replace. None of the bowlers deserve to be dropped at this stage.
I takes Lehmann four years of heavy run scoring at state level to get back in the side and you want Lee back after two performances? Give Bichel a chance!

I said previously on another thread I would like to see them in the same side rather than either or, this is if Dizzy could do with a rest.
Bichel deserves another few cracks at the Poms, he has real heart and can bowl longer than Lee. If it is hot and the Poms actually get stuck in for a day or so...I'm just hypothesising here!!...then it would be good to have him there to do the hard yards!!

The best thing the selectors did was drop Lee as he needed a kick up the arse. He has responded well, but needs to wait until there is one of the others drops out due to poor form or injury (ie. Bichel didn't do much wrong in Brisbane & deserves a few matches, not just the one, to prove himself).

Brett Lee wasn't dropped from the test side, he was made 12th man and it wouldn't surprise me to see Lee come back into the side for the Adelaide test match.

i wasn't saying he should be bought back in
What i was asking in essence(or meant to) is what does he have to do anf for how long TO get back in, etc, and as u said he should only come in when someone else should be left out, i agree with this, and as yet no one should be left out.
