Story at afl.com.au.
Sad to see Begley go-clearly he needs friends and family close and can't commit fully, after the Bali tragedy. He had promise- let's hope that he can continue his career at some stage in South Australia
Very dissapointing about Begley. Nothing happened in the trade period, so I just assumed that he wanted to stay. I have no grudges with him though. He is a fantastic bloke and will provide some great service to his next club. Hopefully he gets a his wish and is picked up by a South Australian side. It would be devastating for us and him if he was picked up by a Victorian club first. Good luck in the future Begs.
No No No!!! Begley, your a champ! Dont go! :(

Sorry to see him go, but I'm with you there Sav. Not my idea of a champion, and would struggle to get in the best 22.
Sorry, I meant champian as a great bloke down there at the club, not a Nick Riewoldt. Although, Begley was looking promising.
Beetham.....pfft.... glad he's gone!

Who's left from the players we picked up during Timmy the Destroyer's reign?

Given that he quit the club, are we still liable for Beetham's salary next year? Hope not.
Bad luck about Begley. I know what people were saying about him improving in the last 6 games this season, but I reckon there would have still been guys ahead of him in the medium defensive posts next year anyway - Schwarze, Maguire, Lawrence. Injuries slowed his development big time, he still could be a top liner, alas, not at the Saints though. Good luck James. Caydyn, get a clue.

Hayes, Baker, Blake.
Watson put our club back 5 years.
Like I said to Dark Saint the other day though, it may have been worth it to get our hands on Kosi & Roo.
Want a list of who's gone, drafted under St Tim?

Stiks:
Beeths contract is not counted in our salary cap.
As we're a number of players short on our senior list, we could land a big name player in the pre-season draft.

Savatage,
The way I understand it, the club don't have to pay Beetham but his pay is still included in the actual salary cap. That doesn't really matter because we won't be anywhere near paying the 100% mark anyway.
As you know I was a fan of Begley and thought that the way he ended the season was to be the time he came of age but it's not to be. Good luck to him in the future, whether he is picked up by the Crows or Power or returns to the SANFL I hope he can succeed.

Waldron confirmed it wasn't to be included in the cap just recently on radio.

OK, good to hear.
Either way, that spoilt brat isn't getting paid and that's the main thing.

Caydn Beetham. Named after a dog, shares the same traits.
