#20 Dean Brogan

2002: Despite only playing the 1 game in 2002, Dean Brogan improved a lot as a footballer over last year. He played 7 games in 2001, but that was mainly thru neccesity because of big man injuries. With Lade injury free after 2 years off, and French back for the whole year after his broken leg, Brogan fell back down the pecking order at Port. But this did not stand back in his way to consolodating himself as one of the best ruckmen in the SANFL. He quite simply dominated a fair few games at SANFL level this year, before and after straining a knee. He would quite often end up with 25+ hitouts, 15 possesions and a goal or two.
After continuously impressing in the SANFL, he was finally given his chance in the last round against Brisbane. He spend the game either up forward or on the bench and had little impact, even tho he presented himself well as a tall target.
Deano worked a lot on his pace and strength this year, and he looked a lot quicker than he was last season.
2003: With French gone to Carlton, Brogan looks set to become the first choice as 2nd ruck in the Power unit. It depends on whether the Power want to play Lade as 2nd ruck or as a marking forward. Either way, Brogan now has the oppurtunities in front of him to become a regular AFL player in 2003 and beyond.
I also expect Deano to win the 'Port Adelaide 2003 Cult Hero of the Year award'. Previous winners include Wilbur in 97, Nick Stevens in 98, Stewy Dew in 99, Monty in 2000, Guerra in 2001 and Poults in 2002.

No nothing behind my previous statement. Other than (and i know you wont like it) perhaps he could put it over his head as the photo of him this year makes him look like a slack jawed local.
Just reminded me of the poll to find our stupidest looking ruckman from early in the year, lets hope that they get a photographer who can improve the standard of photo that is being produced down there.

Who said I wouldnt like it? Just because I adore the guy doesnt mean I dont constantly poke fun at him. I'm already planning to super impose his face onto a rabbit's body!

I've got lots of pics tucked away somewhere, dont you worry. I even managed to dredge one up from his 36ers' days, where he has his head shaved. Kinda. Its weird, because he doesnt look like a rabbit; he actually looks normal. Its amazing how much transformation a person can undertake in four years.
Lets hope Tredders can manage to look a little less stoned in his next profile pic. And that hairstyle is.. err.. well. And maybe the photographer will be able to take a photo without contrasting shadows. The middle of his face is light, and the left side is dark. So is the right. Who the hell is the photographer anyway!?

haha i know. warren looks so very funny in that.
it's more the fact that it's a profile pic. cause jade looks like he's drunk. tim looks like an old man. wakes looks like he's on something. dean looks like his teeth stick half a mile out his mouth. lol. they should just use normal pics. may save the players embaressment from evil pics. hehe
Gav has always struggled to get a decent photo taken by any team photographer, although in recent yeras atleast he looks half awake and not total drugged out.
