With Tait perhaps off to see the doctor who "cured" Max Rooke (advertiser, page 104 & p. 100) is he seriously on his last chance to play cricket for Australia or, indeed, anyone?
At his age could he perhaps change his style to limit the damage on his body?

He is only 24-25, still plenty of time to build a career. But he would want to get on top of his injuries soon.

He just needs to not rush his return from injury. Then he needs to play both OD and FC matches not just the shorter forms of the game. That is if he wants to get back playing Test cricket.

If he changes his action he will lose his pace.

I could imagine how fustrated he would be right now! I think he should give up on playing in the IPL tbh and use that time to heal instead

And your right - his blistering pace gives him the X factor we need, it would be like asking warnie to go from leg spin to off spin

I am a Tait fan but this stuff about being frustrated etc is starting to bug me.

He picks and chooses when he plays, makes a massive amount of coin out of CA for bowling 10 overs a week (which seems to be about his limit), now going to make $600K from the IPL, no doubt spending half of it injured.

Seems to put no effort into any aspect of the game other than his bowling either, is not fit enough - how can you intimidate the opposition when they can see you gasping for breath in your run up?

For Test cricket all the batsman knows he has to do is wait for a while and this bloke won't be able to bowl anymore.

He is the one who will not change his action, despite anybody and everybody telling him he needs to change it or he will be constantly injured and then he complains about being injured. The ironic thing is he can genuinely swing the ball both ways so unlike Lee he is not a liability without extreme pace. He is also massive but persists with an action that makes no use whatsoever of that height.

For those saying if he changes his action he will lose pace, well he has lost pace already with the same action. Used to be bowling 155kph and above, now he is 148kph and above. Apparently was bowling 140kph and above in Shield this year too.

As I said, I am a fan but needed that rant.

At least he played a huge part in us winning the 07 world cup. So we at least got something out of him if he doesn't get things sorted out.

I used to be a huge fan of his but now I have no faith in him at all.

He is both mentally and physically fragile. He is not fit for Test cricket.
