I noticed that Luke's brother is training with us. He has been on Hawthorn's rookie list playing for Box Hill, but they've delisted him.

Seen him alot and probably pay more attention to him than most because I rate him extremely highly.

Works till he can't work anymore and is a consistent in and under player that can be used in a run with role or as a ball winner, but sometimes stuggles to restrict some more experienced opponents.

Team player that is always pumping the boys up before a match and at the breaks. Real vocal presence on the field that ain't afraid to cop a bump.

Accurate kick and rarely misses a target. His pace may be a slight problem but he is still a very good, solid athlete.

Spent two years on our rookie list. Started off in the Box Hill reserves for a few games in a backline stopper role, but progressed to one of our most consistent, reliable and determined midfielders in the Box Hill seniors.

I am really upset he is gone, and I would have prefered to let him train with us rather than Michael Osborne in a chance for drafting, but I wish him well at the Saints, if he should get a spot there and will be supporting him throughout his career.

Could be another Milne-type story?

I'm for anything that helps Luke settle in and play good footy and his brother may help with this. I seen him a few times and he obviously has some talent. Is surely worth a go.

well if talent is genetic (which we all know is) then only time will give us the answer and probably a good one at that.. the only downside would be if he had a physical defficiency such as legspeed..

I reckon we should pick him up. The summary from the Hawks board sounds pretty positive, and we can work on his legspeed if necessary.

As you can tell, I am a big wrap for him His legspeed is not extremely bad yet could be improved. He has a huge heart. You can't buy that.

Hopefully one day he will step out of the shadow of Luke ball in your eye's. He already has in my eyes as a valuable contributor to Box Hill's 2001 premiership.

Thanks for that Matty, most of us had no idea about him.
