Where I work, the radio is stuck on commercial stations, anyone else in this situation? And what current chart songs give you the ****s?
I'm sick to death of some chipmunk going on about the "birds in the twees" and that bloke yelling "Siberia! The place to be!" .. well freaking go there and stay there if its the place to be.
"He's just a boy and I'm just a girl, can I make it any more obvious?" yeah Avril, graphic details please.
There's this song where this bloke is going on about "I wanna know" but working in a noisy environment, that's the only bit you can hear properly.. "I wanna know" over and over again. I probably don't 'wanna know'.
Some skank singing Boys of Summer, the original was bad enough, this out of tune crap is unbearable.
And finally that git who wants to "scream at the top of my lungs".

At work we generally listen to Triple J till 9 (we start at 7:45), then we will either listen to Fresh FM or Triple M for the rest of the day, depending on who gets to the radio first. Its usually Triple M, but maybe once a week we will listen to Fresh the whole day.

I work at Priceline. We pipe Mix 101.1 or Fox FM. Absolutely shocking. If I hear another Avril Lavigne song, I'm gonna go nuts.
There's a reason I listen to JJJ...

Reason # 4,761 to hate Mooster
At work, we have a full kitchen, showers, a gymn, a 72 inch big screen projector TV, VHS & DVD players, and we all have PC's with which to surf the net. In short, if you see me surfing BigFooty (or anywhere else) it's because I'm hard at work.
A few times in the shift we have to do stuff. This really ****es us off because doing stuff interferes with eating, working out, showering, watching TV and surfing the net.
My personal life is a complicated and hectic mess. Sometimes I pick up overtime shifts at work so I can relax properly.
Peace,

I'm sick to death of Acne Laminge and that f*cking awful song of hers.
She should be hung from that sad tie of hers, doused in something flammable and set alight.

JoCo Ks Emergency Command Center. Not long ago, the name was changed to something far less cool, but we aren't going along with the new moniker.
You would have to move farther than cross country from Darwin. We are fairly right in the exact center of the United States. Ours is one the best systems in the US. We've had people move in from other parts of the world to work in our jurisdiction. Got an Aussie and an Englander over here.

Yeah I work at a supermarket and unfortunately they play only Mix102, which is an easy listening pop station (basically SAFm without Eminem and the "hardcore" stuff.
**** it's soo boring, the same songs everyday, this station likes Celine Dion, but love song requests is what i hate.
AFter7 when we close we usually put it onto either JJJ or MMM. Generally 10 times better then MIX. I get to hear some better stuff this way. But I usually channel skip, with the J's and M's probably being the most visited, but i only listen to radio in the car other than work anyway.

So true. What's with the tie anyway. If she wore it once or twice maybe it would work. Not being seen without it spells gimmick, much like Shakira's regrowth. Put some Adidas trackies on that bitch and take the foundation off and she'd fit right in at Elizabeth City Shopping Centre/your local bogan hangout

I'm guessing 3 Hours Of Power would take on a whole new meaning on Sunshine FM then.

At work, it's either 92, 96 or 94.5, depending on which boss is on duty, but since I can barely hear it most of the time it's not that much of a problem. We tried JJJ, but for some reason the pensioners didn't like it
But what really brought me to the brink of a breakdown, was having to study to 92.9 - nonstop. 24 hours a day, for a fortnight. My reception up here sucks, and all three cd players broke down, so I was stuck with 'the all new 929'...... let's just say if I hear one more mention of f*cking Rumba, the poor excuse for a concert that it is I'm likely to turn all postal worker-like. Watch for me on the news. How they can talk it up the way they do, elevating acts nobody's even heard of to one of the '16 stars of Rumba' and live with themselves is beyond me....
Oh, and Sonshine FM? "No Greed, No Ridicule, No Hurt" I mean where's the fun in that?

One of the problems with commercial FM radio is that you can't tell where the ads finish and the song begins half the time.
I actually find it PHYSICALLY painful ...
... yes, you heard me right ...
... PHYSICALLY painful ...
... to listen to commercial FM radio.
And I couldn't tell you which songs I dislike the most because I honestly can't tell one commercial bimbo hit song from another ... They've all got the same beat, the same tune, the same lyrics and the same under-fed over-hyped air-head singing them.
The whole experience is just wall-to-wall pain.

I don't have it so bad then... I would be looking for another job in that case.
I think there would be a case for discrimination.
Thank **** for night shift. It's only a two-man shift, so I can buzz around on the forklift or sit at the computer and listen to MY selections on my CD player or mobile phone. :)
Got some Dictators, Judas Priest and Megadeth programmed into the phone and I've got no bastard telling me I can't play it.

At work I listen to 774 ABC local radio. I'd rather listen to no music than music I don't like. Tried listening to Triple J for a while but didn't enjoy it as alas I've reached puberty;)
The woman I work with plays Fox FM when she gets the radio and it is the most insipid, purile, banal shirt ever to 'grace' the airwaves. Their music 'mix' is predictable and their announcers aren't idiots...they aspire to be idiots!!!!!
We listened to Triple M at work for a while but when I started to stratch my groin uncontrollably and yell BARNESSSYYYY for no apparent reason we had to stop!
Radio is the reason I had a CD player installed in my car :)

I'm doing work experience at the moment, and the radio is on 101.1. I've been here two days, and I'm already ready to smash this radio. Yesterday, I heard three different songs played twice during the time I was there. Can't remember which artist it was, but they played about 4 of the same artist's songs also. Today I've heard 3 Kylie songs (there ya go Vanders...oh and thanx, that's a Lifehouse line, now I'm singing it ;)) and more Faith Hill than I've heard in my life. Arrghhh. I'm so tempted to change it, but I better not...:D

Ah commercial radio, the bane of any tasteful musicians' existence.
I have always wondered why so much stuff sounds exactly the same. Now I know the answer. Upon reading many forums involving some of Hollywood's top record producers and cutting engineers, I've discovered that these things I feared to be true actually were.
Apparently, there are about five or six individual mixers in Los Angeles who are employed by just about every single major record label in the world. Supposedly 99.9% of all American recordings that you hear on commercial radio passes through the fingers of one of this handful of people at some point.
They are purposely instructed to homogenize the mixing process down to a formula, for radio-safe consumer friendly production (i.e. the flavour of the month).
These mixers can drastically change the sound of an album almost immediately. They can run drums through a unit that triggers samples and makes it sound like a completely different set of drums was played. They can de-tune and change the pitch of any instrument they want to give it a different sound.
Producers and engineers spend months in the recording studio fine-tuning and crafting a fresh, innovative and unique sounding record. After all of this, the record companies can decide they aren't formulaic enough and send them to one of their hired mixers who have the ability to change the sound of the record completely without even having to re-record anything.
I was listening to a programme on 'harmony' on and the development of the late classical musical into jazz and modern classical, and an interesting suggestion was raised suggesting that "popular music" is so appealing because we are brought up as youngsters on a sole diet of simple chords in the nursery rhymes we are flooded with.
Think about it - most nursery rhymes are composed from about 2 chords.........compare that to an Avril song - ok ok - the nursery rhyme is slightly ahead - but she's trying ;).
I always knew Playschool was evil.

I tell you what, it can only be a short time before Declan Fey and maybe Chris Kennet get snapped up by commercial stations. Listen to them while they still have cred on the The Pinch, which has just moved to 7-8 pm Mondays.

We've got one of those things we're some personalised radio station is piped through, complete with interspersed company propoganda.
Just recently was Billy Joel singing 'keeping the faaaaaaaaay----ayyyyyyyayyyyayayyayaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... f"
Now its some slaggott singing 'somebody hit the lights'. Somebody beat the bejeezus out of you, might be more appropriate.
I must admit, sometimes there's a fun tune ... but its pretty rare.
