What is there left to say about Michael Voss? Had 3 weeks off with an operation for OP, but came back bigger and better than ever. Whether it was destroying teams in the midfield or kicking a swag up forward, there is no better all round footballer than Michael Voss. Would be scary to get a full niggle free season out of him.

OUTLOOK - He is the premier player in the competition, and if he can shrug off the OP then he will move from being head and shoulders ahead of the rest to a full body length. Must be kept in cotton wool as much as possible before Christmas and really can stamp himself as one of the greatest players of all time with another top season.

Sensational season, especially going forward which has added to his threat. He appears at times to be on the verge of injury but suddenly performs some amazing act - witness the last quarter in the 2002 GF. That was HIS game to win - as instructed by the coach - and he did so. There can be no higher praise.

Possibly his days as an onballer are numbered but his forward work has altered the forward line dynamics, putting Bradshaw on the outer.

Assuming he is NOT left handed, I have never seen a better non preferred handballer that Michael, and I grew up watching Polly Farmer.

Also as the person who represents the team in public, he has grown in stature in this role and , together with Leigh, present such a formidable combination of steely resolve and thoughfulness. What a fantastic leadership group.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but he is left-handed. ;)

Still bloody good at it though!

I think he bounces the ball with his right. His skill really is to stand up in the tackle and get off an accurate disposal.

BTW I remember seeing Baldock at training running down the ground at full pace bouncing two footies - one left and one right. And Polly Farmer handpassing right and left thru' the passenger's side window of a speeding car from 10 metres. They kept winding the window up and he kept popping them in.
