I just turned on ABC radio and heard the last bit of a story that bollinger is coming home from SA. I think they said Brett Geeves is replacing him. Can any one confirm this please??

Coming home? I thought he was only ruled out for the 2nd test match.

Thanks pies this year, at last a collingwood supporter has come in handy for something.

Shame Noffke isn't fit/firing; he'd be a much better option.

Geeves has had a very good year, few better than him this season. Adds a bit with the bat too, including 2 99*s!

Is Dirk Nannes still injured? Would he have got a look in otherwise?
I've only seen him bowl a few times, but thought he looked really good, he had a good year didn't he?

I'd rather Geeves, he is a bit younger, and as unfortunate as this sounds, I don't want 35 year old's debuting (Nannes) unless they are spinners.

Nannes is 32, but I'm of the same opinion.

Yep, my mistake on the age, but the same point. I don't mind Geeves. Would not have been totally against James Hopes being brought over actually.

Would have been between Geeves and Magoffin for the selection I would have thought, not much between them this year and Geeves a bit younger so fair enough decision.
Very stoked for Geeva and I reckon he's an outside chance for a gig next test.

I like Geeves, but Nannes would be a real handful over there.

Maybe..but at 32 years of age there is no point:thumbsu:

He has a side strain. I'm guessing that's usually 4-6 weeks? Other Vic bowlers possibly might have been looked at, if they weren't all injured. Having said that, I'm fine with Geeves' selection. (But Magoffin is a tad unlucky too)
