Young forward Damon White will be out of action until the middle of the 2003 season after undergoing further surgery on his left ankle on Monday.
White’s dislocated and fractured ankle occurred while playing for North Adelaide on April 27. It was the result of a sickening-looking landing from a marking contest.
After many months of rehabilitation, it became evident that his ankle was still unstable, so it was decided White would have further surgery.
White will be in hospital for a couple of days and will be in plaster for six to eight weeks. He will then go through another period of rehabilitation and doctors presently estimate that he will be back playing by the middle of the 2003 season.
