I'm presuming you left Micheal Long out of the team because he's currently suspended?
Wouldn't have Henneman in just yet. Wallis on form deserves the nod ahead of him in a back pocket. Was one of our best during the finals this year, especially in the big one.
I know you hate him, but be realistic...the guy was playing the best footy of his career and based on that deserves another chance.
Henno will be good and I expect him to make huge progress next year, but not immediately.
Wally for now!

Curious as to what some of you may of thought about Jon Robram. Seemed like he was playing very well for you when dropped (weight of numbers against him) but a few of my Dons mates said he was probably deserving on form a game in the finals ahead of the likes of Alessio,Wallis even Solomons name was mentioned.
Does he have a place for your lot next season? He is a good bloke the old Apples and id like to see him do well.
grend- Robran filled in admiably for Fletch in the rnd 20 Carlscum game- and as far as I can remember, he didnt let the side down when he did have a shot.
I think next year we are unlikely to have as good a run with injuries as this year, and to have a back up of his quality would be excellent insurance.
On the selection issue- I personally would love to see Corey McGrath get a few games in the seniors next year, as this kid really has talent, and could become a super player for us.
The future really is so bright !!!!

i agree arch, mcgrath looks to have all the makings of a superstar, along with rioli, jacobs and henneman as well as a few others
robran is a great pick up for us, he didnt do a thing wrong when he got an opportunity but i still have wallis before him, he could also be a good spare ruckman perhaps when he gets a game

Sorry guys didn't mean to leave Longy out of the side.
Long For Jacobs.
My opinion is that Henneman should be played in the 1sts to get better experience and Wallis would be better suited as back up and to give guidence to the young guys in the magoos as he has so much respect.
It would be great to see McGrath, Switala and Forster-Knight get a game also.

Cory McGrath, along with Ted Richards were the two most over-rated players by our own fans that I can remember.
I remember rating Robran when we picked him up. From memory, he didnt put a foot wrong in his time with us. Just lack of opportunity and bad timing with the finals looming and Lions breathing down our necks.
Matthew.
Stop it.
Please.
Just go outside and play or do something else, because everything you do here just annoys people.
There is nothing to be gained from dredging through posts from 5 and 6 years ago.

Is there some reason why you keep pulling up old obsolete threads like this, have you been hiding in a bottle for the last 6 years and someone let you out or what. Useless revived threads by a tosser...

Henneman being a regular in the team does not sound right. Agree with mero, stop bringing up old threads.
Henneman was looming as a decent prospect back then, too many injuries kept him from his potential
is there a point?
Yes.
The point is he is trying to clock up his post count.
Keeps bumping way old threads, but this one really takes the cake.

That's one way of looking at it, the less charitable one is that he had reached his potential way back then, but injuries prevented that from becoming clear till later.

He was looking at holding down a regular place in the back 6, either way, it never eventuated
