This thread is for posting great Essendon FC photos you may have taken, or have found on the net. A quick caption detailing it's significance won't hurt either.

Took this pic at Sheeds and Hirdys last game in Melbourne. Was one of the saddest days of my footy life. Lost two absolute legends of the game. We lost the game too :(
(I removed the colour, except for the flag. Looks great!)

I remember catching the train past the 'G on the Monday, and having tears well up in my eyes, thinking of all of the brilliance from Hird I'd seen.

Sweet photo. Yeah definitely the most emotional game I've been too. Still can't believe how we played that night considering... :(

Well, I'm not SS, but you can use any image editing software like Photoshop to do it if you have the time. For instance I used The Gimp (www.gimp.org) (because it's free and I'm cheap) to redo Gary thusly:

But that was just a quick job and the photo was pretty poor quality, Google "selective colorization" or check out these two links for a rough step through:

Hey Merv, I actually did it using an app on my iphone. However, as said above, most graphics programs can do it

I am looking for a program that can do that also, non footy related.
Paint.NET is free and reasonably powerful. Not in the class of Photoshop but quite handy none-the-less.

Will have a look at all those links and sort something out and i'm pretty sure i have photoshop tucked away somewhere but i never used it because it was so complicated.

Theres a photo of Matthew Lloyd and James Hird embracing after Hird kicks a goal in the 2000 Grand Final thats is spectacular. I cannot find it anywhere! anyone have it? Basically Lloyd is picking up Hird high above his head and Jimmy is saluting as we already had it in the bag!

Nh not almost in the bag, it was during the last quarter, it may have been Lloyd kicking the goal. It was to the city end
