The RDT, or Random Discussion Thread, is a group, nay a league of extraordinary gentlemen, and shibz, who discuss the random nature of day to day life, including anecdotes, social discussion and football related banter.
Now legendary within Bigfooty and teh interwebz as a whole, the RDT is a beacon of light for people everywhere, even moreso than Barack Obama.

The RDT commenced in late 2007/early 2008, an initative not started by Mr E, the famed ninja editor, but in fact by Keyser, the resident gorlek in an attempt to keep the main board free from...random discussion.
The titles of RDT's are of great debate, and often hilarity, with recent social and RDT related issues, in tandem with the use of many, often innacurate roman numerals.
Issues within the RDT have included the Juddy88 vs Bushie battle, Rojo and Beatlesmith's mastery in the use of 'that's what she said' which resulted in a brief, but humerous name change from the honorable ex mod, Keyser Soze, innuendo regarding rojo and shibz, ash's gambling exploits, chops' political (particularly successionist) and drug views, zarko and greenick's obsession with NFL and the infamous incident of the late night CK stalker.
The RDT became a hotbed of post whoring, soccer references, noodz and one line 'tony notte' puns, until all powerful Mr E, puppet of Chief, removed the RDT from the post count. The random cht threa was introduced to stem the flow of noodz and random comments, but failed. Thankfully the removal of the RDT from the post count has resulted in an improvement of the conversation, with an emphasis on discussion, rather than the random.
But not everything has been rosy within the RDT world. The RDT pet curse has claimed 4 victims; Keyser's dog, Mattman's cat, Biggie's cat and recently Beatle's cat, aswell as wally tragically hitting a cat with his car. Threads have been dedicated, minutes of posting silence adhered to.
The RDT microchasm was rocked in late 2008 with the news of the departure of RDT favourite Keyser Soze, from his role as a moderator. What followed was a string of events regarding his clingers, PIHL and ILTH, which spilled from the famed 'megathread' in to the folklore of the RDT, and further in to the bowels of the Limbo Club. In all instances, hilarity ensued.
Common conversations in todays RDT include Cricket, AFL, 'what happened last night', 'Shibznanigans', humerous videos, random lyrics to anonymous songs, continuous innuendo surrounding shibz and rojo and the occassional noodz.
The phenomenon of lemon chiffon swept through the RDT like hurricane katrina (too soon?), gaining revellry and worship, becoming somewhat of a god among fonts. The origin of its popularity is unknown, but one thing is for sure, it certainly wasn't started by Quinz.
The RDT has created a social group, has spured the creation of draft game 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0, the soccer thread and recently a DT league. One user bigburger, brought the RDT to worldwide attention with its brief, but awesome inclusion in this very site, starting a worldwide craze of epic proportions.
In a time of such uncertainty, the RDT reigns supreme, a shining light within a shroud of economic and social smoke, lighting up the darkness.
