View Full Version : Dec Draft and Rookie List?
Has anyone got any ideas who will take in the December draft. I noticed that there is still room for one more player as the Bombers decided to pass on their last pick in the October draft.
Also how many are allowed on the Rookie list and who have we invited to train with us?

Salary Cap restrictions may prevent us from taking a player at all. I heard one club official define the pre-season drafte as a "trash and treasure" market with more trash than treasure.
Most of the players in it are well known, but they are has-beens who want another crack at it. We need to be careful with our selection. Brett Voss is already going to St.Kilda with the first pick.
just on the subject of youngsters, does anyone have any info on Corey McGrath, and at what stage hes at ???
I just really liked the look of the guys' skills, and was wondering if anyone knew what sort of role he might be playing, and whether he was definitely in the Ansett squad.

dan essendon will use their last pick, im 98% confident they will
there is a group of kids who have been training with td for the past month or so
one of these will fill the final spot on the list
4 or so more to be taken on the rookie list and the others to be used as supp players
for obvious reasons i cant name any names but there does look to be some talent
and arch no doubt that corey mcgrath is ready to play afl football, he will definatly play ansett cup along with david hille and they both could sneak a few games next year
Read on the AFL site that the Bombers have invited Josh Mahony to train with them.
I can't believe that we are even contemplating drafting him.
Walshy, any chance of us picking a young ruckman?
