Could I get a clarification on what the voting is based on? Whether you just like the beat, lyrics or the whole package?

The music in the clip. That's the whole package, so in this case, the lyrics, the beat and any other musical features in the songs.

That's how I voted. Although, I understand your point. I only got sympathy votes when I nominated AIH, but that will not stop me from choosing something similarly odd next time around.
To be honest, I dislike nearly all Hip-Hop, so Insane in the Brain was almost a formality, in that it's one of the few songs I don't mind. Which of course, is due to it being catchy.

There's no set criteria to evaluate. Just pick the one you like best, for whatever reason. If it's because it's catchy, then so be it. Simple.
