View Full Version : Death to 'SCOOTER'.

I had the mispleasure of hearing their/his/whatever's new song "NESSAJA" the other day, and it is the biggest most blatant rip off of The KLF classics '3am Eternal' and 'Last Train To Trancentral' I have ever heard.
As if the "THE K, THE L, THE F, AND THE OLOGY" (from KLF's '3am Eternal') in 'The Scooter Song' wasn't bad enough... in 'NESSAJA' they scream "3AM!", and the chorusy bit sounds EXACTLY like "c'mon boy do ya wanna ride?" (from 'Last Train...') even down to the exact tune.
Is there ANYTHING original about these ****s?
While I hated them before, the KLF thing has pushed me to another level altogether...

Never heard of the band, never heard the song.
My life remains untouched by demonic KLF ripoffs.
I am positive and secure.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
The justified ancients of mu-mu are pure and unadulterated.
All is well.

"Ok everybody, lie down on the floor and keep calm!"
Die, scooter, die.. and no it isn't German. This kinda crap was done over 20 years ago and at least then it was done as a (albeit unfunny) joke.
I present for you...

I had that very same album!
Maybe, just maybe, Mum's still got it somewhere ... I'd love to retrieve it.

My wife made me download some chipmunk song the other day that went on about wanting Santa to not forget their hula hoop.
You don't see lyrics like that anymore!
(and possibly with good reason) :)

What's funny though, is that before they gave it away the guys wrote a book giving step by step directions to producing a number one hit song.
This book oulined the steps to take for ensured success.
Anyway, apparently a band in Germany read the book and emulated the success of their hyper talented gurus.

When I first started going clubbing I used to love 'Scooter - **** the Millenium'. Fortunately since then I have developed some taste in dance music. Hard NRG whatever you want to call it is absolute trash...
I also went through an Astral Projection phase! They have my respect though, very good psy stuff. 'Fly' and 'Mahadeva' being two of my fave tracks of theirs.

Actually although I know the name, I don't know who Kraftwerk are, so I dunno if that's an insult or a compliment!
I saw the clip for Nasseja or whatever it was, last night, and I agree with yers, very bad mu(sic).

Found this list of similarities on another messageboard:
- Lead singer/shouter H.P. Baxxter calls himself the 'Candyman' (a KLF song)
- Every Scooter song has 'traffic noise' in the background
- "Logical Song" includes the line 'The K, the L, the F and the ology' from The KLF's '3am Eternal'
- "Nessaja" rips off the 'All aboard all aboard whoh hoh' line from The KLF's 'Last Train...'
- Their newer logo is a rip off of The KLFs Pyramid Blaster logo
- Scooter released an album called: 'Back To The Heavyweight Jam' (A KLF lyric)
- Scooter released a single called "F*ck The Millennium" 2 years after The KLF did it, and the lyrics reference/rip off The KLF and songs
- Scooter's 'FTM' starts with machine gun fire, like '3am Eternal'
- A cop car is used as a cover like the 'Timelords' record
- Scooter's 'Let Me Be Your Valentine' uses the lyrics "Mu Mu"
I hate them.
People actually listen to and analyse dance music??
Where is the emotion? Where is the back breaking riffs? Where is the unadulterated and uncontrollable outbursts of rage?
I hate to say it, but dance music is pathetic.
Think about this ... are you gonna be listening to this dribble in 30 years time, the same way that people still listen to The Beatles 30 years on?

The book was called "The Manual (How To Have A Number One Hit The Easy Way)" with Jimmy Cauty and Bill Drummond (aka The KLF) as the authors.
Two blokes from Vienna, Austria got in touch with the KLF asking for advice on how to have a hit song, and Drummond and Cauty send them The Manual. A few months later, the two blokes under the name "Edelweiss" released a song called "Bring Me Edelweiss" which made #1 in 6 European countries, made it to the Top 5 in the US and Top 10 in the UK.
Anyone who wants a copy of "The Manual" (and it's a bloody good book) should be able to get a copy at PolyEster Books or at some of the cooler book shops in Melbourne like the Brunswick Street Bookshop or Greville Street Bookshop.
