View Full Version : Best Film Clip of 2002
Theres been some great film clips in 2002.
My pick would be: Coldplay's The Scientist (which hasn't been released here but MTV seem to be playing it a lot)
The whole clip is in reverse yet he is mouthing the proper words....which means he in fact learnt to sing the song backwards. make sense?
Its a cracker of a film clip....
Other good ones: Sum 41's - Still Waiting....the start of the clip still makes me laugh....
Others?

I liked the Madonna - Die another day clip. Don't really know why, i've always found her video's interesting, even if I don't like most of her music.
Good call with "The Sums" - do you smoke? Well, you do now.
Also I nominate Bodyjar's clip for One In A Million. Those who have seen it will agree with me.

That's a ripper, best film clip of the year imho.
Also like the clip for Grinspoon's no reason. I'd nominate the sums clip which has a go at the strokes but I am too big a fan of the young new yorkers.

I found it annoyingly ironic that a corporate punk band (and I use that term loosely) was having a shot at corporate rock bands in that clip. Very big of you boys.
Best clip for mine was No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age. Just a very solid clip which shows the intensity of Dave Grohl on the drums, Josh looking like the complete redneck that he is, and that deer exacting revenge.
One in a Million by Bodyjar had me in stitches, and Luv Your Life by Silverchair was an awesomely animated clip. Very clever.

Missy's Work It clip is entertaining.
White Stripes - Dead leaves and the dirty ground.

Fell In Love With a Girl clip is better. All the images are made from lego. Almost a hallucenating effect. Brilliant.
I also reckon The Strokes' clip where they appear on Family Feud is a gooun' - I think it's Someday but I could be wrong.

I think the clincher of this clip is the poster in the background which reads in Thai 'Young 12 year old girls. Thailand Sex Trade.'

hotpie and hitter you guys mentioned the white stripes clips, not sure if they should count considering the songs are from 2001 (not that I am splitting hairs..... well I just wanna prove I am a the white stripes know it all).
The 2 clips mentioned are great, I also like the clip to Hotel Yorba.

Yeah your right, thats a great clip, featuring Al Borland from Home Improvement as the host of family feud:D
I also like The Hives - Main Offender clip where they battle The Negatives who take over from The Hives as the new kids on the scene.

Yeah, it's a fantastic clip... the guy that directed it is Michael Gondry (I think that's his name...)
He also directed Kylie's 'Come Into My World' clip with the multiple Kylie's and background that became more and more complex as the song went on, as well as Chemical Brothers' 'Star Guitar', with the train going past, and the events of the film clip mirroring the changes in the song.
All are excellent clips.

Luv Your Life - Silverchair
Fantastic animation. Funnily enough it was only done that way because Daniel Johns couldn't get inot the studio because of his illness.

For Some reason i like the clip for George by Cartman. A guy singing in a pub while fights and other stuff are happening berhind him. The deadpan look that the singer keeps is great!:D
The Moby clip with the little sign-holding aliens. Group awwwww.
