Good old Tugga Waugh. Dependable as a very dependable thing*. Mind you, the really interesting point in this match is Stuart MacGill's performance, vs White and Hauritz.

* Metaphors not being my strong point

im a bit surprised at the slow run rate, less than 3 an over.

It said in the text commentary that it was very much a bowler pitch, very green ...

Agreed. Nobody has said "Gee we need Mark Waugh this summer." Terrific service to Australia in cricket, but definately not missed.

i can't believe Bollinger got all 3 of the wickets. that guy seriously shows how little depth in NSw bowling there is.

it goes:

McGrath a long way ahead of Lee then Bracken/Nash/Clark are all pretty even and are 5 off the best 10 or 15 bowlers in Australia than the next best is Bollinger  would be lucky to be in the best 40 bowlers in the land.

Victoria are 3 for 110 at stumps needing another 32 runs for first innings points. Of the 3 wickets to fall, one was Michael Lewis who appeared to be sent in as night-watchman, so a good batting performance today by Victoria should see them in a very strong position in this match. :D

The not out batsman are Hodge on 6 and Rummans on 23.

Go Bushrangers!!

Depth in NSW bowling!??! a kids taken 4 wickets and you are bagging him?

Take your 2 opening bowlers out of any shield team and they will prolly struggle.

I'd be happy if a 21 year old kid was taking wickets.

Being torn apart now ..

80.6 MacGill to Berry, OUT: a sweet wicket for a leg-spinner, tossing it
up outside leg stump, Berry has a big swing at it trying to hoik
it over the on side, misses and the ball turns into his leg stump
- bowled around his legs!
8-212

MacGill 20 overs 7 maidens .. 2 - 48

Come on Vics, eek out another 20 or 30 runs. :D

Good night watchman move...

NSW 3-23.

They probably thought if he made a couple of runs he would be selected as the all rounder for the World Cup!

NSW in all sorts of bother. 4/46. Still need 82 runs to force Victoria to bat again. Inness has 2 wickets, Harwood and Lewis one each. Cam White may not even get a bowl for the whole game, effectively ruling him out of an Aussie spot.

MacGill picked up 2 tailenders, not really a convincing performance from him.

Go you Vics!!!
