How would you guys fell about getting an alternate playing strip?

Of the 16 clubs, we are the ONLY club that has never altered our guernsey. While this is admirable, it makes little sense to continue to wear our traditional jumper when we are the away team against, say, Melbourne and St.Kilda.

I was watching ManU the other day, and they were the away team agaisnt another side that wore red, and ManU came out in a white strip. They also have a yellow strip.

I really get sick of going to Essendon-Melbourne games and finding it hard to differentiate between the teams. It's just a big mixture of dark and red. Same when we play the Saints.

Even though we are the only club to never have an alternate jumper, I really feel we should have one in these situations. Every other sporting club in the world does it to avoid clour clashes. We should too, but only when we are the away team, and only when our opponenets jumper is similar enough to warrant a change.

How about keeping the front the same, but making the back all-white, with black numerals? White shorts. Would that look too weird?

Stealth,

If they were going to do that, they might as well change the whole strip.

I guess so.

I've actually been hearing rumours about a silver jumper? That would be shocking.

silver, with a red sash and black border would be good but only for clashes not for away games specifically

Dan, wasnt it you who said in another thread some time back (sorry if im wrong) that with Orange now being the major sponsor, any attempt to change the strip by them would be vetoed by the members? (not having a dig, just curious)

Cheers.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.
