Rnd 1: Daniel Pratt (Kangaroos)
Rnd 2: Kevin Tandogac (Southport)
Rnd 3, 4 & 5: Passed
Rnd 6: Joel Macdonald (Mt Gravatt)
Rnd 7: Paul Shelton (Morningside)
Rnd 8: Luke Weller (Brisbane Lions Rookie)
And Clinton Alleway got picked up by the Kangaroos from Box Hill Hawks.
Strange that we passed twice in the middle of the rounds. I bet Shelton and Weller were a bit nervous at that stage. Its good to see we have Pratt.

I am very disappointed that Chris Lambert didn't get on the rookie list. I believe he will now be moving to Melbourne to play in the VFL and try and get drafted/rookie listed next season.

The zone selections (Shelton and Weller) are taken prior to the main rookie draft.

its ok J - nick is still there... but he was kept on the rookie list.... so he didnt have to get re-picked today.....
yeah i really thoguht that we would take Anthony McKee before we took Kevin seven..... so that was a bit of a surprise.. but htat may have been why he jumped past us yesterday.
great to see that Clint has been given another go... i was chatting to his bro & he told me before i found on who we got actually.. LOL....
yeah i was also happy that luca got re-rookied,..... he deserved it... he works too hard...
good luck to them all..... & those @ other clubs...
& bolts.....
& Michael Osborne from Labrador a few years back who is again on the Hawks rookie list for like the 3rd time i think it is.....

yeah he is a great kid & he will do well... as will all the others that trained with us....withthe likes of Ben sargood & Matty Pardew & anthony Mckee...
this year i would sday that we had the nicest kids training with us... all bar one..but moving on... they were all very nice & worked extra hard which is a credit to themselves & to their families & their footy clubs.....

Glad to see Luca Weller and Lil Nick Raines back. Onya fellas.
And Congrats to Paul NUGGET Shelton, all that hard work paid off buddy.
And to Joel McDonald, his awesome pre-season finally got him a spot after the disappointment last year. Onya son, hehehe another McDonald ... WOO HOO! :p :D

For those of us who are a long way from Cooparoo, could someone give us a quick run down of the talents of the Queensland rookies? Ta muchly.
Paul Nugget Shelton, is a ball magnet 176cms 76 kgs approxiamately. Super fit endurance player, lacks some natural leg speed, beautifully balanced and skilled on both sides of the body. Midfielder who can play forward, will work on his in and under play and improve body strength, would liken him to a raw Simon Black.
Big chance of making the senior team through sheer weight of possesions in the local comp. Not a fanatastic athlete, super hard worker, will get the most of himself, great attitude and leader.
