Chad and Kane sign up again (http://www.theadvertiser.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5936,5716673%255E21545,00.html)

CHAD Cornes reckons he'll finish his playing days with Port Adelaide and his brother Kane is just thrilled to have finally convinced Power officials he was worth the time investment.
The brothers could not stop smiling after the announcement they had committed to undisclosed "long-term" contracts with the Power yesterday.
It is believed Chad, 23, once courted by West Coast but third in Port's best-and-fairest last season, has signed on for three more years while Kane, 20 next month, agreed to a two-year hitch.
"I could never see myself playing anywhere else, anyway" Kane said.
"It was always going to be the case that I'd stay here but it's just good to get it out of the way."
Chad is looking to develop flexibility as a key forward/defender and he even hinted at visions of a run in the midfield. Several Power players signed long-term contracts last year and Chad said unity was pivotal to success.
"That's our goal to sort of be like (premier) Brisbane and with the group we've got I think we should do pretty well next year and the following years, too," he said.
The relief of securing a future at Alberton showed on Kane's face. He proved late last season he was more than useful in the midfield as a tagger and as a free-running on-baller. In-and-out of the side early, Kane consolidated his position and added three finals games to his developing layer of experience.
"It's great to get it (contract) out of the way. I can focus on coming back after the break and getting stuck into it in January," he said.
"It's hard at the start but as a young guy that's what you've got to expect . . . I learned to deal with it a lot better as the season went on and hopefully I won't have to worry about that next year.
"I just want to be in the side every week. I don't care where I play – just being in the side is great."
Kane celebrated with a personal best time to lead the Power pack in its gruelling 2.2km time trial, covering the distance in six minutes and 49 seconds, five seconds behind Michael Wilson's club record set this year.
"The guys are a step ahead of where they were last year and we're all working to be the best we can and there's a lot of presure within the group to be the best," Kane said.
Next over the line was ever-green Josh Francou (7min,06sec), just below his PB, Dom Cassisi (7.10), Nick Stevens (7.12), prized recruit Steven Salopek (7.20), Matthew Primus (7.21), Warren Tredrea (7.24) and Chad Cornes (7.26).
"Those results showed things are moving in the right direction," coach Mark Williams said. "It's probably a more workman-like feel about the group."
Great to see both Chad and Kanes both wanting to play out their careers at Port............
and for anyone thinking Salopek was a little slow his times in the time trial are up with our best...............
