Polls cant have lists of 30 choices, so just post your favorite Home guernsey design (you can vote for multiples), and later I'll gather up the votes manually.
Also, vote for a favorite Away/Clash guernsey design, but the most popular Home guernsey will probably influence the Away/Clash design.
Don't worry about socks and shorts colors for now. Just guernsey.

A - but with a horizontal split, rather then vertical.
Q - second, but only if A is horizontal, its above vertival.
Logo should be small imo, not planted smack bang in the middle. Just small on the chest.
F or J for me......either of those look fantastic....reflect sunny and bright IMO....
Also wouldn't want anymore blue than on that one....red/yellow is fantastic, so different to other footy jumpers.....and most importantly, different to the LIONS.........I like the logo as well, its simple and people know the team as GC....suits the jumper design..

Home D or Home I are both simple, and awesome, really representing the Gold Coast imo.
Away C for sure.
Great work on the designs too boys!
As for my vote, I like many of them....
HOME:- A, B, C, D, F, G, I, K, N, P, Q, S, U. Like them all equally, they all represent well. ('G' would be a 'sexy' look the club might like).
AWAY:- C, E.
its hard to figure out which ones winning because we're all voting more than once but counting EVERY vote so far it goes

I'll go through them all.
Home:
A - Not liking that cut in from the back. Similar to how Collingwood's stripes are now. Pass.
B - Doesn't work for me. The full yellow back just does not work. Maybe reversing the colours would make it look better. The 3 V's is one to many for me. Possible selection but I doubt it.
C - This works for me. I'd change the cuffs to red. If they wanted to add the logo to the front that wouldn't hurt.
D - This is a good simple design. Looks better when it's worn by someone rather than on a template. Maybe make the back fully red. Definately worth a nomination.
E - The blue piping doesn't work in this guernsey. Pass.
F - This one looks much better than E. Without the blue it looks nice. Maybe a bit too plain. Possible nomination.
G - The teeth on the guernsey doesn't work. Chuck this one out.
H - Prefer the red on top. The blue shorts is not a good look. Pass.
I - This design is really good. This time around the blue lining works well. Nice simple design. Similar to Melbourne's and Sydney. The logo goes well with the design too. In my top 2 choices.
J - Prefer the red on top. Pass.
K - I'd prefer more detail on the front and backs rather than on the sides. Pass.
L - Same as K, just this time the red and yellow is reversed. Pass.
M - Don't mind the odd stipes. Goes okay but choosing this as an AFL design. Won't go well on supporters. Pass.
N - Not liking those white stipes on the sides of the yellow. Pass.
O - I like this design. Maybe a red back instead of a yellow back. Definately a nomination.
P - Similar to O just an extra stripe.
Q - The full blue on one side doesn't work with the other side halved into red and yellow. Maybe having half blue and half white instead. That might work better.
R - If the blue was skinnier and straight. Then it's a possible choice. But I don't like it.
S - Similar to N just the change in colours. Pass.
T - :p...pass.
U - Two insignificant curved lines. Pass.
V - Same as U just the colours reversed. Pass.
Away:
A - If the red and yellow was bigger it would work better. Worth a choice.
B - Sucks badly. Pass.
C - It's okay. Bit plain but hey it's an away guernsey. Worth a choice.
D - Don't mind this guernsey. The red and yellow on the sides works okay. Maybe smaller so it doesn't stand out so much. Worth a choice.
E - Needs to incorporate red somewhere. Otherwise two light colours next to each other with blue doesn't work. Pass.
F - Too plain. The sash should go all the way and the white should be changed to blue.

I read this as stating this is the first gurnsey, to me at least that doesn't imply it will be the one that they wear come first round 2011.
AFL.com.au journos a bit thick/slow on this. I dont read it as THE official AFL guernsey either. And I also hope not, just in case!

I like the TAC cup one, but as they've said that they'll cahnge it, I spose' Home D and away D.
However, if the supporters'/players/staff etc become attatched to the current jumper, dont be suprised if its kept in some form. Especially given, if you remember, they said that would allow a nickname to form 'organically' - if people start referring to them as the 'canaries' or 'yellows' or 'council workers' or something (hopefully cooler then any of those) it may stick.
Btw, I've got a great idea for the next voting thread.
This one is to trim down the entries to the top 5 most popular ones.
Then the next one, which will also include new designs as well, will be an animated gif that shows in each panel the Home, Away, and Clash version for each design.
So each panel will revolve showing what the socks, shorts, etc will be for each home/away/clash design all in the one panel.

Current voting (keep in mind "away" votes are not so important as the home designs will probably set the standard for what the away would look like)....
personally i prefer it when home and away jumpers are different designs. (west coast, north(last year), hawthorn) i think it's better from a marketing point of view too. for instance i don't think st.kildas clash jumper will sell well because it's a worse version of their home jumper, essendon don't even bother selling clash jumpers.

Well that's a fair point too. Just I never went nuts creating "white" versions of every home away one and maybe those wouldve got more votes if they were included.
But, the next voting thread will display things better and people can vote from panel to panel not just a whole panel.

H is definitely my favourite of the home ones. Nice simple design and the blue shorts look good too.
None of the away designs really appeal to me that much but if I had to pick one I'd go D.

Home H is ok...shame they can't incorporate anything from the present Southport footy club design...
On the thread linked in the OP, more designs are being thought up and tweaked etc. So people with any ideas are welcome to post their 2D ideas for me to later do on-field versions as seen in the OP.
Also, that thread has already trawled right thru the big stickied Version 1 thread for designs, so ideally something very different to the general ideas already presented in this voting thread.
There'll be a second phase voting thread, allowing new designs to be voted on against the cream of the crop from this thread.

I like simple jumpers anything too intricate looks poor on TV.
Home F, D and H look the goods for mine. I'd like to see H with red shorts.
Away A or B for the clash/away jumper.
Not Home A, C, G, K, Q.
V would be good without what appears to be pinstriping down the sides. Or are my eyes playing tricks?

Some really good option in there. Nice to see no stylised waves! A few thoughts:
- B would be worth a bit more consideration with only two red v's and perhaps thinner
- D is solid but perhaps too traditional. Plus it's looking a bit too much like Sydney's.
- F is good and doesn't really resemble anyone.
- I: see D
- J & L quite good at working the blue into the guernsey.
- M,N,O.P are all quite good too. Like the way M maintains traditional solid lines, but is also quite distintive. N is obviously more symmetrical than M and is probably my pick.
- Don't really rate the other as much. None are horrible, but are just not as good. The blue colour you guys have is pretty ordinary IMO, epsecially when used with the red - it's quite jarring. Don't know if that's a official colour or not though...
- C is the pick of the away jumpers for mine, with E OK also.
I think that yellow is probably the colour that needs to be prominent as it seems to be a trademark of sorts i.e. no other team uses yellow as it's primary colour. But I reckon it's a tricky colour to use well. That's why I like N I think - the yellow is front and centre, therefore noticable, but the red is possibly the colour which makes up a larger percentage of the guernsey. Red's a great colour in to use for sporting teams. I also like the use of white to break up the red and yellow.
Not sure.
The jumper should be as simple as possible, but the ones I find the most appealing look like they'll have problems with Sydney and Hawthorn.
I'm thinking the yellow should be changed to orange.

Sorry, don't like any of them really.
If I had to be pushed, I'd go for one of the pale blue options but even they're not that flash.
I hope for the clubs sake that they come up with something decent, otherwise they'll be an instant laughing stock across the league.
I really like A, C, I and J.
With preference probably to J.
However, I think all the letters I mentioned would be significantly better without the logo on them.

it's a yellow/gold jumper with the gc footy logo, surely you guys have seen it.
imo it's not that bad, it shocked me at first sight but then i was like "yeah, that's pretty much GC in a nutshell."
VOTES (incase): E and E, both e's are the best imo, i like the blue mixed in.
But the blue/red should be reserved for the west sydney team. dunno, just seems like the blue/red combo is more of a nsw thing.
I think it's just an initial guernsey for TAC. They'll probably develop a bunch of designs for 2011 AFL launch. Hence this thread, and a lot of us on this board have contacted GCFC to invite them here to see these designs.

Whatever guernsey design or colours they run with, that logo has to go.
It just has to.
But it represents the QLD sun! haha.
But yeah, I think everyone agrees. At least made a small chest badge anyway. HOME D and H do use the large logo well at least. But ideally it should be made a chest badge.

D: It's Gazza's jumper with the colours used in right place.
S: My design, might be better with a darker shade of blue.
I: just calls out to me, over the similar design J.

E: My design, but I reckon I could have made it better with an all white back, and red instead of blue.
C: Just looks like the next best option after D & E
Of the jumpers with silimar design:
Home D over Home H, looks better with red on top.
Home F over Home E, looks bad with outline of blue... however might look good with a thin white outline.
Home I over Home J, looks better with red on top.
Home L over Home K, in this case yellow looks better in center.
Home P over Home O, laws of three... three stripes just looks better.
Home U over Home V, hard one... looks better mostly red, and take off the pin stripes.
HOME T is funny, you could imagine the Auskickers wearing that, back when Auskick was still sponsored by McDonald's...

Actually 'N' wasn't my design, that design looks like mine, but the white stripes was designed thinner then the yellow one's in mine in 'S'

i think they'd be better off with similar writing that just says GCFC without the red ball, like a modern version of carltons CFC.
If used properly I dont mind it. Like D and H use it well by having the white horizontal line around it. Like the band of a ring, or cigar.
There are a couple other designs there that it also looks good on, like the v-shape in B and I/J. Or N/S. Or some others.

yeah, i said "should've" it's too late now and the idea really shouldnt go further than "oh that would've been nice but oh well"
fwiw, fitzroy should've stayed being the gorillas but sadly it's too late for that too.
Also, the GCFC will not want to replicate the Bears (who had that same type of lettering on the front). That's why imo the logo big on the front should be instead small on the left breast.
