What CD's did everyone recieve as gifts for Christmas, if any?

I got Live on St PAtrick's Day - Dropkick Murphy's and Blow in the Wind - Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.

Its one of the only upsodes to music at Christmas, for every crap mariah carey xmas special there are a dozen good albums out.

I got Diorama- Silverchair from my brother. Buying some cds for xmas is so risky. Firstly they have to like it and secondly you have to make sure they don't have it already. The second obstacle makes the first less likely too (I guess Diorama isn't that bad I guess..........compared to say Nellyvile).

One of the 2 xmas pressies that I got for myself was Grace- Jeff Buckley. Getting yourself a cd is loads easier I reckon.

The Get Up Kids - Eudora from a best friend.
Tis a good listen but I would've preferred a Nirvan album I don't own.

Yeah I know can't they just give us a gift voucher instead?

Exactly! I got a $50 JB voucher for my birthday last month but it's all gone.

heh! I just can't walk past a CD or DVD shop without checking it out.. and most times walk OUT with something too!! Um. So I guess I should count the stuff I bought the last week in the "I bought it for myself for christmas" excuse :)

Lemmeseenow... I got myself... Weezer - Pinkerton, If I were a Carpenter (CD full of carpenters covers by cranberries, shonen knife, sonic youth & others.. been looking for it for ages!).. and the About A Boy soundtrack.

So far, my favourite weezer is probably the original blue one - though I have heard that pinkerton is the hardest to get into, but most rewarding. Haven't heard maladroit yet.

The carpenters CD is great ;-) Remember hearing tracks off it on triple J years ago.
