What a **** up by the umpires, reported Mecuri first how could they do that?
Anyway I reckon he'll get one week, maybe two. Of course, no doubt the roos fans will be here in droves responding to this topic calling for his head. Typical.

I wouldn't be suprised if he got of.

The tribunal is very reluctant to enforce the "rough play" rule. I can't remeber the last time someone was suspended for engaging in rough play.

Guy McKenna got of for a very similar incident late in 1999.

He'll get off, he got away with punching Kretiuk last season, so I don't see why this one will be any different. BTW I haven't seen last nights incident yet.

Then how can you comment on it?

I was merely making a prediction based on a past incident.

You didn't see this incident but your judging it on a past incident which was a "punch" not a late bump with possibly late elbow contact. The two cases have nothing in common. When you see the footage, come back and tell us your un biased veiw, if thats possible.

I suppose my bias *is* showing, but the whole thing is rubbish. Just a bump...

It must not have been that bad if the umpires couldn't even decide who actually did it.
