I knew it was cursed when my Flyers tanked against the Sabres earlier in the day.

My $30 reserved seats turned out to be four rows from the top of the bloody stadium. What
a rip off. I paid half that for the North game and was 100 rows closer to the ground. And I still had to wait in a queue.

My boys played the worst match I've ever seen them play, against a hated rival missing half their side. Then they teased us by actually being tied or ahead at all three changes.

Of course, plenty of taunting greeted us as we left, especially while we waited an hour for an f-ing tram.

So, my first Carlton match as a spectator was pretty much an unmitigated disaster.

I suppose there are worse things in life than that. A root canal, for example. Dinner at Smorgy's. A Celine Dion concert. An episode of "Neighbours". Losing to COLLINGWOOD.

And yet, one thing came to mind as it was all happening. I could have been in South Africa instead.

Actually barricking for collingwood is worse than all the above stealth.

stealth, the first ever bombers game I attended was in 1986 against the the warwick capper led swans at the SCG where we got beaten by 80+ points and Capper kicked.....well alot of goals.........i was 8 years old and am still slightly traumatised by that experience.

Thursday night couldnt possibly have been as bad as that. However its those lows that make the highs sweeter http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/smile.gif
