Firstly, this is not a thread for sensible people. If you continue to read and then you probably going to think I am a nut case or being funny. I am not.
I am sick of all this ****ing injuries.
These injuries, especially to our young kids who have got enormous potential, basically have derailed our club…our future.
Injuries that we’ve copped, is not got to do with the following:
- coincidence
- bad luck
- fitness staffs
- medical staffs
- ground
- game plan
- Players growing (in to their body)
It is a ****ing curse. A spell put upon us by some ****.
Remember the Socceroos and the curse, which was put upon them for so many years. I was there at the MCG, 2 ****ing goals up, with 15 minutes to go against Iran. We didn’t make the WC. Again, 4 years later against Uruguay, we were 2 nil down, however one goal would have put us through to the WC (away goal rules). The ball bounced off the underside of the crossbar. Again didn’t make it to WC. The year the curse was reversed or lifted, JA steps up and puts it in the net, and with it finally Socceroos make the WC after so many years. It is not a coincidence.
I tell you, this a curse and needs to be lifted by witch doctors. Most people wouldn’t believe things like these. However, the culture I come from, there are beliefs of things like these. And it bloody needs to be lifted if we are to move forward.
Anyone agree?
hey! i said this first
maybe it's like the australian soccer teams curse that john saffron had to lift. if so, i have no objections to curse lifting procedures by any essendon fan.
actually that moment pretty much made me believe in curses but having a serious conversation about tis might be too much for me, i think this is as far as i'll go.

I'd be happy to try anything at this stage.

Whilst I appreciate your well thought out argument ;) , in my opinion and experience , when there is a large number of simultaneous injuries it is just coincidence .
If however , a club continues to have a lot of injuries , then invariably it is down to playing style , training methods , and the ability of the medical staff .
Occasionally it can also be a cultural thing , for example . Back in the 90's when George Graham became manager of Tottenham Hotspur FC ( English soccer team ) , he was unhappy with the number of injured first teamers .
Injured players would turn up at 10am to be assessed , given treatment , and then had the rest of the day off . He changed it so that injured players had to report at 2pm as well for further evaluation and treatment . Lo and behold , Spurs suffered very few injuries for the rest of Graham's tenure :D .

I Found this promo. Maybe they could help..
In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court
for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a
maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today,
still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune.
If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team.
You guys did say we were happy to try anything... Right.

I reckon the Socceroos' curse was lifted the moment they changed our qualification from competing against South Americans to competing against Asians.

Geez after that spiel, I better look at getting rid of my black cat, get rid of my ladders and check 4 times before I cross the road. You've scared the **** out of me.

Seeing as this thread is at least partly about humour, I say the curse can be lifted using metal arms. William James is the man to talk to.

This may sound strange to you guys, but I reckon when confidence is low your chances of injury is so much higher.

I do believe the purchase of one of these would be helpful in the future.
