Fair enough, good side l reckon for 2008.
Not much competition in the spinning department with Sri Lanka not playing much test cricket - still take Murali though.
Surprised at the Lee and Sidebottom mentions.
l look forward to seeing Hughes, Punter, Clarke, MJ and Siddle all listed in there next year after cracking Ashes series ;)

One could make a case for India having the best side in the world on that combined side.
Rightly so, they are a magnificent outfit. Who do they play this year afer NZ?

Surely Johnson would bat above the Slapper of Sreesanth?
MS Dhoni- good but overrated. There musn't be many good wicketkeepers playing in the world at present.

Fair to say he has Haddin covered at the minute, though I don't think he should have been captain of the Wisden Test XI .

Dhoni captain?
Would have thought Smith would have been better.

Depends what you are after. In terms of pure glovework, Jayawardene from SL is the best in the world. For the keeper-batsman package, Dhoni is on his own.
