What a huge win. Been super impressed by Shreeve so far this year. Looks like a lively forward/midfielder. Knows how to kick goals from the looks of things. Wasn't greatly impressed by Magin last week but must have had a ripper yesterdat. Good news for him:thumbsu:
Great win for the boys.
Alik Magin played a great game, apparently his work ethic was outstanding.
Here's hoping they keep it up. :thumbsu:

Jaysus, that's one hell of a belting.
Must be close to a record margin, you don't see too many thrashings like that in the TAC Cup.

I'm not to sure about that, in the same round [11 April, 2009], Oakleigh Chargers thrashed Northern Knight with a score of 25.21 (171) to 7.6 (48), a 123 point win.... sure not as big as Gold Coast's win, but still a major thrashing
{EDIT}
Biggest Margins in TAC Cup (2007-2009):
Round 4, 2007... 138 pts - Calder Cannons 24.18 (162) defeated North Ballarat Rebels 2.12 (24)
Round 2, 2009... 134 pts - Gold Coast 26.13 (169) defeated Western Jets 5.5 (35)
Round 8, 2008... 129 pts - Northern Knights 23.20 (158) defeated Northern Territory 3.11 (29)
Round 1, 2007... 125 pts - Geelong Falcons 26.15 (171) defeated Murray Bushrangers 6.10 (46)
Round 2, 2009... 123 pts - Oakleigh Chargers 25.21 (171) defeated Northern Knights 7.6 (48)
Round 16, 2007... 123 pts - Murray Bushrangers 25.14 (164) defeated Calder Cannons 6.5 (41)
Round 4, 2007... 122 pts - Western Jets 24.17 (161) defeated 5.9 (39)

Magin was exceptional yesterday, getting to contest after contest. That Dixson seemed like a bit of a tool (but handy player). very impressive performance from the coasters.
magin was very impressive as was thomas but i don think dixon done much especially first half didnt give his opponent much to worry about kicked afew last when the jets threw the towl in

Yep, and there's another brother called Ranze who also trained with the club over the summer.
Wasn't greatly impressed by Magin last week but must have had a ripper yesterdat. Good news for him:thumbsu:
Magin wasn't too bad last week. He didn't get a lot of the ball but competed well in the first half and did some really good stuff in the last quarter. I actually thought about giving him a mention after his efforts in the last quarter but decided against it.
He was pretty good against Southport and not too bad in the intra-club game either. I've been careful not to get to carried away with what I see from him because being a bit of a Johnny Platten look-a-like means you really notice him everytime he goes near the ball while you only notice half of what guys like Thomas and Rolfe do. Hope that makes sense:cool:
But yeah, I think Magin has been servicable/good in all of the games so far

Alik's twin brother is Lanze and older brother Rhys who is rookie listed with
the Bombers. There father Bill is a legend and is a whole new story.

Does anyone know if Sean Tighe played in this game for the Western Jets, if so how'd he go?
