Actually , I always thought that was quite a catchy tune , and a biting satirical take on the way women are objectified in our society .

Plus the girl was cute.......... I'll get me coat .

This thread started off with good intentions (to make fun of a bad band), but it seems some of the posts after the OP are just one hit wonders that hardly deserve to be lumped with Aqua or Effiel 65, but that's just my view.

Anyway, here is quite possibly the greatest singer and song ever:

No I have not. Is it good? He releases a new album every week as he has recorded so much material from performances and the like. I would like to see him in concert as well as Brian Wilson.

My favourite Young song:

Am I the only one who ever noticed a startling similarity between this song and the Beatles' Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da?

Similarly, speaking of Smash Mouth, I always thought their song Walking On The Sun (not sure if that was the actual title) was a direct rip off of the Doors' Soul Kitchen. :thumbsd:

Highway 61 Revisited is probably his best studio album. But really, any of Blood On The Tracks, Blonde On Blonde or Bringing All Back Home are good starting points. And of course best-ofs. The two songs you mentioned are when he was going through his country phrase btw.

Have you listened to The Church's new album Don? Few bands that have been going for 29 years have made better albums...

Going through a Clash phrase currently, along with Belle And Sebastian (If You're Feeling Sinister) and The Go-Betweens (16 Lovers Lane). Kinda depressing the likes of The Go-Betweens and The Church get overlooked by AC/DC...:(

This is a great album and I have been wanting to get a hold of it for some time, but have not got around to it. It was on Classic Albums (the tv show). Dave McCormack performed at the tribute concert a few years back. He is a huge Go-Betweens fan.

I heard somewhere Mr McCormack is a Jonathan Richman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYAcX9hA_ak) fan. If so your love for him is totally justified. And what do you mean by 'get a hold of it'? I could get your cyber hands onto it if needed....
