Well done to the England team - thoroughly outplayed us for the last 5 days. Full credit to Caddick too. While I feel it's downright embarrassing for him to be the main strike bowler, he can be more than a handful when he Gets It Right.
Plenty of incentive for Steve Waugh to play on one more series too. He would want to go out on a winning note, and to atone for the draw in his first series over there as captain.
Yes, congratulations to England. Easily the best side in the final Test, and also played very well in the second half of the Fourth Test ..... coincidentally around the same time Steve Waugh enforced the follow on ..... but I've said enough on that subject.
Put Darren Gough back into that side and they are starting to look okay.

Gough will not play in an Ashes series again.
Agree with Zombie on that - next Ashes in two years time will see England without Gough, Caddick, Hussein and Stewart. Harmison could be the goods though, Jones might be up and running again, and Vaughan will probably be even better....

But they'll still keep playing 'Creepy' Crawley. :o

Yes, the new Chris Tavare
Australia will be without Waugh, maybe even McGrath and Warne.

I was only talking about the England Test team, not future Ashes series. I feel Goughy could easily play for England again.
yeah, good for the poms, pity we couldn't sweep the series, but all things being equal, i'm glad they got a win. No supporters should have to fly half way around the world and watch their team go 5-0 down.
