apart from the crows, we are the only team board that doesnt have its own supporter as a moderator (other than the ones that dont have a set moderator which bluey just moderates).

Bias shouldnt come into it. What do you think we are going to do?? Ban all crows supporters from posting here or something moronic like that?

As mentioned over in the General Boards where this is being hotly discussed it would be good to have someone that meets Bigfooty's own criteria......

Not than I have a problem with Shinboners but I wouldn't call him helpful and knowledgeable in the subject of 'Port Adelaide'.

Moderators oversee specific forums. They generally have the ability to edit and delete posts, move threads, and perform other manipulations. Does seem a bit odd that the 2 Adelaide sides don't have their own moderator & no macca i would not expect you to ban all Crow supporters just as you guys should not be banned from the Crows board.

IMO Porthos or Macca19 would make great moderators for this board given the time they have been using the site, knowledge of Port Adelaide and standard of their posts.

Perhaps we should also be asking who is prepared to do it and for one of the current mods to clarify the role of a mod so everyone is clear about the requirements.

Being a team board mod is a breeze really. You have more leeway regarding deleting 'outsiders' posts and basically can welcome outsiders posts or keep them out altogether.
In conjunction with the boards posters, you can run it anyway you like.

You'd also have the same 'powers' on all other boards as that boards mod but on the proviso that you only act on another board in an emergency, ie, flooding, extreme abuse, language etc.

I wasn't even using Fred's pre-requisite when I posted that.......just thought you'd love to have Zombie morderating the Adelaide board but after consulting with PAfowlr and a couple of others we're sure you'd prefer PA1870 given the enormous contributions he would make on your board......;)

I used to work on an IT helpdesk for a bank when I was in Adelaide and we used to hear some incredible stories - it was amazing how often the computer gets it wrong.........

but as I'm a user now I can blame the equipment........:D

We used to have a weekly, monthly and yearly spanner award which we would award to the stupidst call we got and there were some absolute beauties at times.........:D

No no no..youve got it all wrong...:( each chapter has a slightly different title, ( though that one has come up 2 or 3 times )

literally thousands 2000- 3000 and the Hundreds of responses, it obviously is of great interest and fascination.!

I also believe that informing the un or ill informed the History of Port Adelaide FC is an important task..something other clubs have had the luxury of for 104 or so years...

Ports Legends, traditions and History will get a regular blast on these boards..always something new to add..

Not just by me, but by the Port faithful here as well !
