That contested marks stat is disturbing although I don't know how we compare to other clubs.

Contested marks figure show that we struggled in the first two rounds to either get it inot the forward 50 efficiently of struggled with lack of targets.

If our game plan is working i would suspect we may have less contested marks simply becasue we will be running the footy through the middle rather than kicking to contests.
If it all goes well we will be hitting forwards on the lead rather than a contest.

I think Hocking deserves emormous credit for what he has done.

Not sure he will hold his place short term when McVeigh, Welsh and Prim all come back but the mark of a top team is depth and he adds to that. Long term I think we've found another hard nut in the middle.

I'm pretty sure that Lloyd's contested marks were ALL against Carlton. That's a huge effort.
