Hes been out of hte game for nearly 2 years and many believe he may have run his last race.
So the question is do people think there firstly is a place for him in the side, secondly can he overcome the injuries and string a few games together and finally will he be able to recapture his 2000 form.

My opinion is we are yet to see the best of waterhouse, sure he is getting on but he started the game late in life and has been out of it for 2 years.Without the number 1 backman I think were in for a season as good if not better than his season 2000.

What is everyone elses thoughts

I don't know if he will have much of an impact. I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to play him on spurts off the bench. He could have a good season because he won't have a great defender on him, or he could struggle to recover from his reconstruction and might struggle to get games. It could go either way; time will tell. The question remains - do we need him?

I don't know if we do or we don't. He could clog up the forward line, or on the other hand, he could be that x-factor that wins us some games off his own boot. I hope it is the latter, because he is definitely a Freo favourite.

Clive should have matured. Having to go thru the past two seasons with injuries, he knows he needs to fit in the structure of the new team. Which is not so relying on him to pull the rabbit out the hat each game. As we have seen with Macca last season, he has found time, and back up in the new team around him and played great footy. And without the burden begin capt.

Clive will be an impact player at best. There are other forwards who have passed him and will be able to hold their positions in the team. Coming back from a 2 year layoff will be very difficult and unfortunately may have seen the best of him.
