OK, this is for those folks who contributed to the Pre Corporate Punk/Garage thread. I play bass in a band called The Naked Eye-we've been compared to the Sunnyboys, Radio Birdman and the Eastern Dark in reviews and I thought some of you might enjoy the band. Hell, even if you end up hating the band, come along to one of the gigs and say hello.

So here goes:

The Naked Eye play Friday 10th January in the public bar (Downstairs) of the Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda. Entry is free (and you'll get your money's worth!) and the band are on at 9.30pm.

The Naked Eye also play on Friday 17th January at the Tote Hotel in Collingwood. They are supporting local rock sensations The Casanovas. This will be the Casanovas last gig before their European Tour. First band on at 9.30pm (The Mystaken-all girl rockers who are definitely worth catching). There will be a cover charge for this gig (unknown at this time).

A footy mate of mine played in 80s Enuff for a while ... he kept inviting us all down to see him ... and none of us ever went for a couple of years, then one day we finally trotted down, and became almost their best customers for another couple of years! Then we sort of went our own ways, and off it went again.

So if you get no response, don't give up, keep hassling us!

I can vouch for the Casanovas going off, although they might struggle to recapture earlier form from when Rustovski was still with them...

Mrs Lindner has rather stupidily invited people over for dinner tonight, but as you are playing a whole three minutes walk away and free I'm going to at least try to stick my head in for a couple of songs. Are you starting 9.30pm(Eastern Standard Time) or 9.30pm (ESPY standard time - in other words about 11pm:D ).
