View Full Version : our boys are buggered
I am not knocking anyone, but it is obvious we have some very tired cricketers, it would be a good idea to give them a week off to refreshen themselves for the world cup, now i know they won't want to, but i think it would be a positive move allround,

Don't let 'em off the hook that easy acuguy - Maher, Symonds, Bevan, Lee, Bichel, Hogg and Watson only played 6 or 7 tests between the lot of them ... and 5 of those blokes played zero.
Sometimes you're just beaten by the better team on the day ... Don't worry, I'm a Richmond supporter, so I've heard and tried every excuse in the book ...

Ricky Ponting more or less confirmed the tiredness of some members of the side at a press conference today. I would suspect Gilchrist and Hayden would be the main ones feeling the effects, as for various reasons they had to do a lot of work in the Ashes series.
But they weren't really the problem on Thursday night - it was the fringe players like Symonds, Hogg and Maher who looked out of sorts, not because they were tired but because they weren't good enough.
