View Full Version : TV Better Off Ted (Season 1) **Spoilers**
New show in the US.
I really like it. There has been 5 episodes so far. It kinda reminds me a bit of Arrested Development ( might just be because Portia De Rossi is in it and plays a similar character ) meets the office but not in the same class. It gets funnier each episode.
Its about a guy who is head of R & D at a massive multinational which makes everything from bombs to lab grown beef.
Great episode with the motion sensors that dont detect black people and the company's solution is to hire white people to follow the black people around so that they dont have to change the sensors
Good find mate. Have watched the first 3 episodes over the past day and i think its bloody hilarious.

Have downloaded 3 eps just on the strength of this thread, watched about 10 mins of the first ep and must say it is pretty funny so far...

ok I've had this on my computer for a while and just watched the first 10 eps over the weekend.
It is a bloody awesome show. :thumbsu:
the motion sensor storyline was some of the funniest stuff I've seen in a long time.
and what wouldn't I do to Linda if given an hour with her.

I have watched the first 6 episodes, its hilarious.
Watched the first 3 episodes late last night, was pretty good but not great. Already acquired the entire season so may as well watch it, it may grow on me.
Anyone else notice how hard this show is trying to ripoff 30 Rock? Everything from the camera angles, music, office setting, even the characters are eerily similar. Its like they've turned Jack into a woman and moved him to a research division of GE.
Only thing different is the talking to the camera thing, which is basically a just lazy writing and rarely works.

better off ted starts on sept7 at 9pm on the comedy channel. straight after 30seconds a new aussie show with stephen curry, gyton grantley etc

Been watching this lately on teh comedy channel and i've found it surprisingly hilarious :O
season 2 kicks off in the states next week on the 8th(9th here). :thumbsu:
