Looks like they will never actually pay that deliberate rushed behind rule.

most frustrating half of footy i can remember watching in recent times.

the kangas are there for the taking. useless team, and they really have no confidence at all.

if we can match their work rate, and KICK STRAIGHT, we will run away with it in the second half

Out kicking us. Out marking us. Poor delivery. No skills = turnovers. I think we can still beat the Kangas though. Push up, run hard.

Not sure if there's anything more we can do to serve this up to the Roos. Get McPhee back into defence PLEASE!!!

Kangas are nothing

I'm here and it's just painful to watch. NM are useless, way too much inconsistency by the umps; if we play half decent we should smash them. If we play to their shit level we are going to go home dissapointed...

Jay "Kicking is his best strength" Nash in turn-over leading to goal shock

There is no place in this current Essendon team for Darcy Daniher.

He is a fair dinkum gumby.

Stop this experiment and get him in the Bendigo side to learn how to play football.

I'm not game enough to start the 'Lucas out on the full' thread.

Do our boys even realise that 5th spot on the ladder is up for grabs? We havnt been that high for a long time and they pull out this rubbish. oh dear its frustrating! And i traded boomer in my supercoach......egg on face

I feel sick... If we played half as well as we did against Carlton we would be 50 points up... Disgusting

I really hope Knighter is giving them an absolute f****** spray. We're better than this.

I still believe though. Here comes the 8 goal Bombers final quarter.

terrible, terrible loss.

north were shit today. we were just woeful. missing targets under no pressure. dropping marks under no pressure.

they just didn't come to play, and we still nearly won.

positive though. last year, playing like that, we would have lost by 60+, so we are getting better. i suppose with a young side, we have to expect performances like this now and then

Whats ur thoughts right now Spike, you are there? 7.15, sound slike we missed a heap of gettable goals.

19 Apr 2009, 15:41
Damn, I wished you guys won. Ah too bad for Lloyd, 899 goals haha. I bet he did that on purpose to kick his 900th goal against us in Anzac Day.

ghostdog
19 Apr 2009, 15:42
wtf was that? methinks the boys believed their own bullshit. fell into the same trap those mugs last week did.

19 Apr 2009, 15:42
2 out on the full to lucas as well. lloydy also choked up going for his 900th as well, i'm sorry to say.

plenty of other shots where we were running into space, unloaded from 50 and had them rushed through. needed to spot up targets a bit better, be more composed.

19 Apr 2009, 15:43
Pathetic 1 qtr effort, club champion or not this has to be lucas's last yr, the games definatly passed him by.

19 Apr 2009, 15:44
NM were simply less shit than us today.

bacon buster
19 Apr 2009, 15:49
i actually thought they were shitter.

it's just that when we made a mistake, we were trying to split them open, so we got hurt on the rebound

they just played chippy chippy all day. man, they made the game look ugly.

compare today's game to last week's. we will finish higher up on the ladder than north.

bombersrbest05
19 Apr 2009, 15:50
McPhee......Cant take a simple mark
Lucas.........Cant kick a set shot
Dyson........Cant hit a target under no pressure

The one Positive I found is that Dempsey is going to be a star just when he is near it he always does something good

Neither side looked like they wanted to go on with the game. So many stoppages made it hard for us to break the lines and use our run effectively. We probably had decent spells but both teams made some pretty bad skill errors throughout the game. We looked pretty soft today, only willing to put our head over the ball on a few occasions. It's not one of those alarm bell sounding losses, probably best to put it behind us and look toward ANZAC day next week.

19 Apr 2009, 15:52
i actually thought dyson tried hard. he would have been at the bottom of at least 6-7 packs today, trying to get the ball out.

lucas needs to be dropped, for form and team balance reasons. at the end, when he marked it, played on, wheeled around onto his left slowly, and then booted it almost out on the full, epitomised his form at the moment.

mcphee either does something really good, or really bad. sometimes in the same passage of play (good mark, kick to opposition)

harryhoward
19 Apr 2009, 15:54
how can we afford to keep playing a fella like mcphee- who makes the same mistakes week after week, dropped marks by simply taking the eye off the ball aint good enough... skippy is a disappointing loss to with his hammy...

Could be something to it

Lining up for goal the coaches pulled a 4 way interchange that was stuffed up costing him a shot, was benched for quite a bit towards the end of the first half, and shanked one from 20 meters out. Its all a massive conspiracy.

I am simply amazed at how bad we played today, the dropped marks, loopy handballs, the butchering kicks inside 50.

Please no one blame umpires, they were shit but we should of been better.
