Not sure if there has been or not...but was just looking at the AFL injury report and it was listing Brent as 8-10 weeks.
From all the talk ive hears i would thought it might have been closer to 4-6 weeks.
Anyone know anything?

He is training extremely well.
Isn't he involved in full training? Contact and all?

Brent Prismall
Knee
Mid-season
Brent had a knee reconstruction to repair his ACL late last year. He is completing running, speed/agility and controlled skills training and is expected to play senior football mid-season in 2009.
As it says on essendonfc.com.au

Sounds like a bit of ignorance from the AFL report, or at least we're all hoping that's the case!!
Last i heard he was scheduled for a return to footy about 3-4 weeks from now..
The second half of the year is just a chance for him to blow the cobwebs out.
He is a 2010 recruit.

I thought the talk was that he seemed to be ahead of schedule based on what he was doing at training. And Essendon's line has always been 'conservative approach'. So I'd be surprised if they'd change the official notices, especially when either way he's still, most likely, more than a month away from a senior return, and especially when, as marcuz says, he's not a major part of 2009 plans. (Especially Lisa, and especially Bart...) That's how I'm thinking anyway, after the near heart attack I had on reading the thread title.
His body may be realising that he is an Essendon player and we all know that no one comes back from an injury early here.

Thank *** for that. I am sick of players coming back early and then re-injuring themselves. Better off being conservative like tey are now. :thumbsu:

Spike was on SEN this morning and I came in on the end of a question but he mentioned that "he" (I presumed they were talking about Pris by the comments they were making) looked a possibility for a return via Bendigo next week!! Spike then went on so say that "he" will spend 2 weeks in the 2's and most likely walk straight into the senoirs.
Was I mistaken and they were talking about someone else?

No drama boys..talking to a guy who knows him in Geelong and he is looking at 2-3 weeks to play at Bendigo..so watch for round 7 roughly..says he is flying on the track and his knee feels really strong and he is confident of a good 10-12 games this year..he says he is as fit as he has ever been at that he loves it at Essendon..hope all goes well and we see him in the midfield soon..Also Hurley to play week after at Bendigo..cheers brothers in red and black.

I'm sure I heard Knights in a press conference last week saying that they want to hold off on Priz until mid season, even though he is training the house down and feeling great. Seems strange that they would change their minds in a week.
